Gone in 30 Days.

Craig Deare, whom Trump appointed a month ago to head the National Security Council's Western Hemisphere division, was on Friday escorted out of the Executive Office...

The person who attended the Wilson Center discussion also said that Deare openly expressed frustration over being cut out of most of the policy discussions about Mexico, saying that members of Trump's inner circle, including chief strategist Steve Bannon and Trump's son-in-law and adviser, Jared Kushner, have not consulted with NSC directorates as the White House formulates policy.

News from The Associated Press

Our worst fears are materializing--a Rogue White House run by idiots.

Hmmm...

A senior White House official confirmed that Deare is no longer working at the NSC and has returned to the position he previously held at the National Defense University. The official spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss an incident not otherwise made public, and provided no further details.

But current and former administration officials say...on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter.

According to one person who attended the discussion...on condition of anonymity to discuss a private event.

Officials with the Wilson Center also declined a request for information, saying the discussion was off the record.

Lot's of anonymity.

Meanwhile, taking it as absolute gospel? I see no problem in firing people who undermine the authority of their boss. That's how a business manager would look at it IMO...and isn't that what Trump is?

Apparently you're fine with a Breitbart editor and Trump's son-in-law making security decisions on their own.

I bet you'f be freaking out if this was he editor of Salon and Chelsea's husband. But, of course, you'll spin it to mean something else.

Good. You don't criticize the POTUS in public if you're working for him. And you probably shouldn't make inappropriate comments about his daughter.

Surely everyone understands that a White House that accepts this level of open disloyalty can not function effectively.

What?

Umm...no. I was not thinking in those terms whatsoever.

That little side-track is a projection of your own devising. :coffeepap:

P.S.:

Read the OP.

I did.

Their loyalty should be to the country...not Trump.

I was thinking more about the 90-day window of opportunity.

Loyalty to the Commander and Chief falls under loyalty to country, and bitching that those above you(F) having decided to not seek your input on matters that you feel are with-in your expertise should only be done with-in the organization with very few exceptions. It is pretty clear that this is another case of someone deciding that they cant work for Trump and demanding to be fired rather than behaving with honor and resigning, something that used to be very rare, but the elite as a class are currently not of the quality that this nation has long expected and taken for granted.

Harwood reportedly turned down the NSA position because the Trump administration wasn't willing to let him bring in his own people, but insisted on Bannonites continuing to run the show.

It Certainly Does Not. Not under the former guy. Not under this guy. Not under the next guy.

Am I mistaken, or are you saying, "Not my President" here?

Government can not work for you absent an effective chain of command, which includes not permitting underlings to sabotage their bosses.

Obama admin fired top scientist to advance climate change plans

A new congressional investigation has determined that the Obama administration fired a top scientist and intimidated staff at the Department of Energy in order to further its climate change agenda, according to a new report that alleges the administration ordered top officials to obstruct Congress in order to forward this agenda.

1. I agree, and in subjects such as actually prosecuting leakers, I have consistently advocated for this under both administrations. I think Trump should go after those who leak classified information and I hope they are thrown in prison. Hopefully he builds on the Obama precedents, and creates a greater platform for future presidents to do so.

You do have to have an Executive that responds to the Presidents' direction - I also hope that every one of the life long bureaucrats who are pledging their power to delaying or degrading his policies (whether or not I agree with them) are fired, with prejudice, making it difficult for them to ever find federal employment again. That's not their job. And, again, I argue for all administrations.

2. That is not the same at all, however, as "loyalty to the country".

The president is not a king....so their loyalty and trust only extends as far as his ability to uphold the constitution and follow the law. There doesn't seem to be a lot of trust in Trump's administration outside his close advisers...and that is undermining his presidency.

LOL

Obama fired plenty of people.

A little research on the subject?

Putting anti-science Rep. Lamar Smith (R., Texas), in charge of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, is akin putting Michele Bachmann in charge of the House Intelligence Committee.

The GOP tends to put idiots and anti-government zealots in key positions of government so they can prove that government doesn't work.

Most understand it but there are always some that do not.
