President Trump Seems Determined To Continue The Permanent Campaign

Keep the people on his side? Only 38% of the people still support the maniac.

About the same number that supported GWB when his presidency hit the skids.

By "the people," they mean "the people who are 100% full-throated Trump supporters," and by the president's own words, nobody else matters.

approval ratings can be tricky: example below

I recall GW Bush had an approval rating of ~50% immediately preceding 9/11 BUT then immediately post 9/11 that approval rating went to ~80%

amazing how being a failure can boost your approval rating by ~30% which says a lot about political support; how the electorate views failure/success

so far tRump is a failure so, in theory his approval ratings could rise quite impressively & for being a failure

I think Trump needs a safe space from the presidency.

its fun seeing people claiming he isn't very good at a job he's had for a month now. Most historians say a president's tenure cannot be rated for at least a decade after he leaves office. Yet we have all these amateur presidential historians with an obvious agenda, who want to declare him a failure already-mainly because he did the worst thing possible

He kept the lying bitch out of office and that has earned him the hatred of the Hillary-bots and Hillary fluffers everywhere

A lie is a lie, weather its told by Clinton or the topic of this thread, lying Donny.

The latest piece of evidence that his hugely fragile ego needs constant soothing.
Perpetual campaign is a master stroke of political genius invented by the Clintons.

victus qui se victus

Translation: No, there are no successes to tout.

And you're right, that is obvious.
Keep "thinking" that way.

Almost anything/everything that you folks consider not successful is, in itself, a success. Thanks, may you continue to be depressed all throughout the next 8 years. Your salty tears rolling down those grimaced faces will signal the true obviousness of our side being on the right track.

Carry on. :lamo

I think that he is using the old "The friend of my enemy is my friend" illogical fallacy. Translated into "The success of my unsuccessful success is indeed my success".
Or something like that.
