John McCain is increasingly mad as hell about President Trump. And on Friday, he went after Trump — hard.

During a speech at the Munich Security Conference in Germany, the Republican senator from Arizona delivered a pointed and striking point-by-point takedown of Trump's worldview and brand of nationalism.

In his speech, McCain suggested the Western world is uniquely imperiled this year — even more so than when Barack Obama was president — and proceeded to question whether it will even survive. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...umps-entire-worldview/?utm_term=.ddc3b6f6ddb6

WaPo, perhaps too hopefully, says that Senator McCain and the White House are now on a "collision course." My question is why McCain waited until he was out of the country to say what he had to say.

Maybe he watched the Trump presser yesterday.

Can't blame the old man, Trump's proven over and over that he has no idea what he has doing and has no interest in doing what's best for the republic.

Yes, that's my question, too. Immediately when I saw where he was. How odd...

Western world imperiled? Questions worldview? Isn't this the same John McCain who repeatedly said that the war in Iraq would certainly not last more than 6 months? Isn't this the same John McCain who was wrong about pretty much everything in our war on terror? Isn't this the same John McCain who chose Sarah Palin as his VP? Isn't this the same John McCain who repeatedly spoke of Sunni terrorists crossing the "Iraq/Pakistan border" (which doesn't exist) in order to help the Shia government of Iraq? John "never right" McCain has the audacity to question anyone's worldview? That's a person who needed to retire from Congress over a decade ago but I'm not surprised to see that inept clown flee to German to engage in an apology tour to Europe.

Yeah, but the news media thinks he's a genius and an elder statesman. Anyone who curses Trump is a hero in their eyes.

No one is being fooled by this.

Yes. This is the same McCain who the press characterized this way:

Bush = Bad
McCain = Bush
McCain = bad

But now they are saying he's good. Go figure.

He sounds either paranoid or vindictive to me. He seems to be blaming every bad thing on Trump even though he makes flattering remarks about Pence, Mattis, and Kelly. Doesn't he know Trump picked them and they'll be guiding Trump's decisions? :confused: McCain is part of the swamp and I think he sees the end of his relevance coming.

Yes, that McCain. You know... the one who said Trump wasn't a hero because he didn't like people who got captured.

Well being insulted during a campaign is a perfectly good reason to go to Europe and formally give everyone there the impression that your president's a maniac.

McCain is pissed off because he lost and President Trump won. Plus, he's an establishment guy and President Trump threatejs his very existance in the political world.

It is funny to watch people side with McCain, after wetting their pants when McCain said we would stay in Iraq for 100 years, if necessary.

I'm still laughing, sorry......I thought I could explain oxymoron to you.....but, sorry, I am laughing too hard.

If McCain had beaten W Bush and served 8 years, the world would be a better place. The same goes for Al Gore, but when the chickenhawks took the White House, it had consequences that a man who has honorably served our country fully understands. What's up with blaming Obama for ISIS when it was our military's actions that enabled their existence? It's like blaming the chef for not cooking the rotten meat the manager purchased.

McCain is 100% right. I don't always agree with him, but he has class and a brain.

Birds of a feather.

C'mon. Europeans aren't stupid people. They're perfectly able to reach that conclusion on their own.

Maybe you could stop laughing long enough to make sense.

In what way is he criticizing Trump in that speech?

John McCain has class? Tell that to he nearly 150 military men and countless intelligence agents who had to put their lives at risk so that John McCain could go on a shopping trip in the middle of war-torn bagdad in order to spread propoganda...

NBC’s Nightly News provided further details about McCain’s one-hour guided tour. He was accompanied by “100 American soldiers, with three Blackhawk helicopters, and two Apache gunships overhead.” Still photographs provided by the military to NBC News seemed to show McCain wearing a bulletproof vest during his visit.

McCain recently claimed that there “are neighborhoods in Baghdad where you and I could walk through those neighborhoods, today.”

In John McCain's world everyone has 100 soldiers, three Blackhawk helicopters, two Apache Gunships, and wear bulletproof vests when they go shopping. Yeah, that John McCain is pure class alright. Low-class.

Republicans did it at home all the time to Obama when he went abroad.

Why are you outraged at McCain for being the conscience of the GOP?

Good thing European spy agencies are keeping their secrets on trump away from Bannon Bros .

McCain is 100% right. I don't always agree with him, but he has class and a brain.

Sure, you like anyone who throws conservatives and conservatism under the bus.

C'mon. Europeans aren't stupid people. They're perfectly able to reach that conclusion on their own.

Europeans are rightly scared to death of this insane maniac.

Hence the trips of Pence, Mattis and McCain to try to calm them .

McCain is 100% right. I don't always agree with him, but he has class and a brain.

He graduated at the bottom of his class at Annapolis and would have been drummed out of the Navy for crashing planes if his Daddy had not been an Admiral. No Class and no brain.

Sure, you like anyone who throws conservatives and conservatism under the bus.

I would never insult conservatives by calling trump a conservative .

Sure, you like anyone who throws conservatives and conservatism under the bus.

Oh yeah?
How is McCain "throwing conservatism under the bus" by attacking Trump?
