As with many other times when he has been asked 'tough' questions, the Donald seems to prefer talking about himself and not actually answering the question.

Trump was asked a question about anti-Semitism. His answer was about the electoral college.

Question and Trump's response It's a tweet

The question was centered on the rise in anti-Semitic attacks since Trump won in November and what he would say to allegations that his administration “is playing with xenophobia and maybe racist tones.” It's a tough question, without doubt, but also one that has a relatively simple answer.

LOL that is his goto.

Watching him now, and he is an absolute mess as a speaker. Cant stick to a script, and has covered everything from a border wall to his daughter Ivanka and pushing the usual lies. He was suppose to announce a new candidate for Sec of Labor.. that last 30 seconds, and then he continued to ramble on about the news media and pushing more and more lies. He also went after the 9th circuit pushing a lie that 80% of their rulings were overturned.. err no. He basically threatened to "deal with the judges" like any good dictator. He just claimed that he put in American steel into the new keystone pipeline.. funny how his buildings did not get the same treatment eh?

I would be beyond embarrassed if I was Trump's English/Speech teacher.

The press conference is a joke. Netanyahu isn't there to "clean up" after him. It sounds like incoherent psycho-babble. He just said that the news being reported is true, but its being reported incorrectly. WTF???

Toward the end of today's press conference, Trump thought he would pick some reporter who would ask him a soft question - it was not to be. He picked Jake Turx, reporter for the Jewish Ami Magazine. When Turx brought up the increasing number of threats against synagogues in the US and then asked if the administration had any plans to deal with what seems to be a surge in anti-Semitism, Trump's response was
"See, he said he was going to ask a very simple, easy question, and it's not. It's not a simple question. It's not a fair question. OK, sit down. I understand the rest of your question. So here's the story folks, number one, I'm the least anti-Semitic person you've ever seen in your entire life. Number two, racism, the least racist person. In fact we did very well relative to other people running as a Republican."

When Turx said he wasn't accusing the President of being anti-Semitic, Trump told him to shut up and sit down, that the question was repulsive and insulting.

Such reaction does cause one to wonder what is going on in Trump's mind. It seems that he 'hears' what he thinks the other person is saying and not their actual words.

I didn't hear him tell the reporter to "shut up", but he did tell him to sit down. The split screen looks the guy gave Trump were very interesting to say the least.

The question itself is stupid. There is nothing anti-Semitic about anything Trump has said or done.

Rather obvious that you didn't read the question. Why is that? Why are you 'defending' a man who can't answer a simple question in a rational fashion?

Since you started posting here, we have seen a rise in the incidents of spousal abuse, I wonder to what extent you feel your misogynist, envious and hate-filled rhetoric is responsible.

Oh, that's so cute! Totally irrelevant and a personal attack but still kinda cute. By the way, please provide your source for the claim made as regards to an increase in "incidents of spousal abuse". Would that be in the US or in other nations?

Yes, it was irrelevant and a personal attack--just like the question asked of Trump. Now you know why I called it a stupid question.

An Israeli reporter asking the President about the increase in attacks based in anti-Semitism is seen by you as a "personal attack"? That is truly bizarre, nearly as bizarre as the President's response to the question.

I tell you what, that was a really weird moment in the world of Trump. I couldn't decide if I was embarrassed for him or if he actually did that intentionally to be a troll.

The question was about anti-Semitism being behind an increase in attacks. He didn't say Trump was anti-Semitic, which everyone with a few working brain cells knew. Like Trump, you went off the rails.

I'd say this was all entertaining if it wasn't really sad to see.

I can predict what the next 4 years are going to be like.

"Mr. President, there are children going to bed hungry every night in this country. What are your thoughts on what we can do to help them?"
Trump: "I never starved any children. Sit down!"
Trump supporters: "He said Trump killed a child!"

"Mr. President, Chicago has a real problem with inner city violence. What are your plans to try to stop the problems in Chicago?"
Trump: "I love Chicago. I've eaten dinner there many times. I didn't shoot anyone while I was there. I can't believe you think I did. Sit down!"
Trump supporters: "That nasty reporter is calling Trump a Chicago thug who shoots people in the inner cities!"

Yeah, so? Where are all your threads when Dems dodge press questions? Would you be so kind as to list them?

Re: Trump was asked a question about anti-Semitism. His answer was about the electora

The press conference looked more like a Saturday Night Live skit, or a scene from the a WWF show. Nothing presidential about it, and an embarrassment to the non Trump admiration society (also known as the MAJORITY of American voters).

As a man, the guy appears that he has no character whatsoever. As a president, he has a long way to go.

Yes. Both, whatever "both" is.

You were the one who used the term personal attack.

Why don't you go back and re-read the question before you make any other stupid statements. If your TDS prevents you from grasping how such a such a question could appear loaded, perhaps someone else will help you muddle through it. I don't plan to waste any more of my time with you on it.

NO Democratic politician has ever dodged questions to the same extent as Trump.

Dodge, divert, ignore - yes every politician of every stripe has done such things but Trump has elevated the practice to a whole new level
