Campaign Over, President Trump Will Hold a (What Else?) Campaign Rally

I don't have a big problem with Trump holding a campaign style event. He sees his popularity isn't strong outside of his core followers and he likely knows he needs more support to have more political influence in Washington.

I'm sure it looks dumb to some people, but I understand logic behind it.

Perhaps that's because former Presidents didn't file the day of their inauguration. President Obama didn't file until 2011 and President Bush didn't file until 2003 (if I remember correctly).

Perhaps you haven't heard about a President filing on inauguration before because it didn't happen?

There are several reasons for why he would. The one I've seen most often brought up is to protect himself from political attack by non-profit organizations.

Do you support your elected leaders taking advantage of laws to avoid criticism from Americans? (that probably sounds snarky, but it's not...genuine question).

I defy you to show ONE COMMENT I have made on 'how much Trump is getting done'. He has been president less than a month. He hasnt seated a full cabinet. His immigration executive order I stated here was poorly thought out and poorly executed. I agree with his decision to hold all refugees til there is a rock solid vetting process in place that involves more than just what WE know. If that means Syrian refugees dont come here...c'est la vie. It looks like he made a solid Supreme Court nomination. Beyond that...what else is there?

His insane picks are enough but there's the constant foreign policy disaster coming out of his Twitter account and his bashing of allies and the whole ties to Russia.

The past 8 years were a foreign policy disaster. He would be hard pressed to **** things up more.

But you were saying that some of these reports — it sounds like some of these reports may be a bit overheated. Is that a fair adjective to use based on your sources?”

WILLIAMS: “What I was going to say, Craig, is they’re just about midway through this. They’ve got several months more to go. They found no indication that there was any collusion. The number of these contacts was not a large number, they were not constant. They were not contacts, as far as the U.S. knows, with Russian intelligence people. One official told me today, ‘You never know with the Russians,’ but there is no confirmed connection between these Trump associates and any Russian intelligence figures.”
 
Well, if Trump is starting his presidential campaign, then everyone else should be able to as well...

I have a feeling that "fake news" is going to be deemed 2017's most overused and meaningless term.

"Your mother!" makes more sense. I don't know why he doesn't just say that.

My belief has always been that the "fake news" accusation is being lobbed as frequently as it is by Trump supporters so they can be freed up to continue using actual fake news.

We got a guy in the trump cabinet who communicated with russia, lied about it, then resigned because of it. It may very well turn into much ado about nothing but when you start lying to cover up, it sure looks like more than just nothing.

And you just want to be content with brushing your hands together and say, "well that's that!" No need to look at anything any further whatsoever... Maybe we should take another look into Benghazi instead.
