Russia is not the enemy

They are a competing adversary at worst. Russia has been a friend to the US for the vast majority of our history going back to the Revolutionary War when they supported our independence. They gave up their claim to the entire west coast and sold us Alaska for a song. I'm not a big fan of a lot of their history but I really don't see them as an enemy.

I think they are sick and tired of playing the enemy for American Politicians trying to deflect the attention of the citizens from what they don't want them to pay attention to. They've been using Russia as the boogyman for too long.

Russia is a true existential threat to the US. The sooner people in the US realize that, the better.

I do, however, find it funny that the people that applauded Obama when he told Romney that "the 1980's are now calling and asking for their foreign policy back..." about Russia being the US' number one geopolitical foe, are now on board with Romney.

That, at least, is real progress.

Wait. Whut?
Weren't the Obama types the ones screaming and yelling that Russia was the threat now?
Changed their minds did they? (Was it politically expedient for them to do so? - Obviously yes, it must have been)

N.S.A. Gets More Latitude to Share Intercepted Communications

Seems that Obama is more a threat to the nation (and it's people) than the Russians.

putin is looking to get the band back together again, and despite mr. trump's beliefs, is not our friend...

I don't think Trump has ever said that Putin and Russia are the US' friend.
I think he's willing to 'make a deal' (i.e. cooperate) on shared interests, which would appear to be pretty reasonable a position.

Wow, this is amazing, this new world of fake news. Russia INVADED AND TOOK Crimea away from the Ukraine to make an oil pipeline. MURDER FOR OIL. And I guess I can't be surprised Libertarians like this.

This post suggests you prefer to ignore, or are ignorant of, historical and cultural relations between Crimea and Russia during the last 300 years or so....
