I have defended Paul numerous times because he is one of the few Republicans who is level-headed on foreign policy. But this... there is no defending this.

Paul thinks that trump has promised him things, such as his version of a REPLACE .

Sen. Rand Paul: 'It Makes No Sense' For Republicans To Investigate Republicans | The Huffington Post
Is he right? I mean the GOP controls the Executive and legislative branches of our government and will soon control the courts. So why should they spend time investigating their own party. Even if they done something that doens't pass the smell test, the dumbed down public will soon forget. Investigations are for the GOP to do on the ohter party, not their own.

I mentioned this in another thread. And here I thought Paul was supposed to be one of the ones with principles.

A politico with principles, you have got to be kidding me.

I'm with you here. I like Paul, but he's in the wrong here.

But why is he wrong though?

Because it is the job of government to create and enforce the law. If illegal activity has been committed, it should be investigated and prosecuted. Period. This is still a nation of laws, not a banana Republic (yet).
