Trump's round for successful women in business...

Oops. Thread title should say ROUND TABLE.

Got to give President Trump credit. He and the Canadian Prime Minister are participating in a round table discussion re the advancement of women entrepreneurs in business. It's Trump, the PM, and the rest? What else? Successful entrepreneurial women in business.

And yes, Ivanka was there. She put the event together.

Good job.

Thoughts? And where did the women's so-called movement get the impression Trump discriminated against women in business?

Because he ran as a Rep and not a Dem. Had he ran as a Dem. they would have been cheering on about his long history of putting women in high level executive positions. But since he ran as a Rep, the only thing they can do judge him based on ONE stupid comment.

And yet...both are absolute darlings of the leftists in this country.

Sorta makes them hypocrites, wouldnt you agree?

And never mind the fact that the left rushed to the polls to VOTE for the enabler in the group. Because they 'care' so much about women.

And Trump is the darling of the right.

Seems like politics as usual, each side defends thier own deviant while vilifying the other sides

Sure. And throw in HRC for enabling her husbands sexual attacks over 4 decades and Bill for actually DOING what the leftists so regularly **** themselves over what Trump said...and we have 4 of a kind...but only one in that group seems to draw any poutrage.

Stop it, Vance!! You are not allowed to bring up Democrats who were/are the very same or worse WHILE THEY WERE IN OFFICE. UnLIKE Donald Trump. Don't EVER do that again! To make this crystal for you, Vance, you may NOT mention the Kennedy brothers, Barney Frank, Rep. Gus Savage, Gary Hart... much LESS Bill Clinton. There are lots more, so let's just leave it that Donald Trump, whose indiscretions were before he ever entered politics, is the ONLY politician you may criticize at ALL. EVER. There.

Fair enough. I don't really get the whole idea of matching the percentage of men and women in a job to the percentage of men and women in the country. It seems to me to be missing the point of being gender blind that the same people promote, but maybe that is just me.

Well, it's a form of affirmative action, I guess. There's no question it's a good old boy world.

Oh believe me...I 'get' the rules on all this.

;)

Yeah, but how do you solve people considering gender by considering gender? Affirmative action doesn't make any sense because it commits the same sin it is fighting against.

I agree in principle, Henrin.

See...now thats just a weird statement...wouldnt you agree? Trump won only about 26% of the eligible voting population and less than 50% of the GOP eligible votes. Trump faced GOP backlash throughout the entire election process. Trump faced virtually an entire party that took the 'Anyone but Trump' stand.

So how exactly do you claim he was the 'darling of the right'? Hell...the ONLY reason he was elected was because he had the good fortune of running against the worst candidate imaginable the left could put up. And then, he only won because the DNC alienated approx half their base by screwing over Bernie Sanders and his supporters. If she had won the nomination without the DNC interference, its likely she would have relatively easily won the presidential election.

Re: 45's round for successful women in business...

Are you still here reading my detestable posts? Thought surely you'd moved on.

Starting a thread about a round table between Trump and the Prime Minister of Canada is not detestable. Please point out the terrible stuff I posted here. If you can. Detestable has a pretty high threshold.

My pro-Trump posts are in support of the President of the United States of America. I have respect for the office. I'm willing to give President Donald Trump the benefit of the doubt for a time. You apparently are not. If you can't tolerate opposing views without attacking the messenger, perhaps You need to rethink what a political debate site is all about. Hint...it's not about everyone agreeing with everyone else.

Now, again, please point out what I've said here that's detestable. And that bullying tactic I mentioned? One of the telltale signs is the bully telling the 12-year-old, "EVERYBODY hates you!!"

Maggie, I'd give that 147 Likes if I could...

Well as you point out Clinton was one of the worst liked candidates ever and that she only won the nomination with help of the DNC and you claimed she was the darling of the left. So I figured that Trump qualified for the darling of the right.

She still is the darling of the left...but good point. I think for me the distinction is that HRCs support was almost wholly WITHIN the party, whereas Trumps voter support was almost entirely the voting populace (including a fair number of liberals).
