When former President Barack Obama said he was “heartened” by anti-Trump protests, he was sending a message of approval to his troops. Troops? Yes, Obama has an army of agitators — numbering more than 30,000 — who will fight his Republican successor at every turn of his historic presidency. And Obama will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House.
In what’s shaping up to be a highly unusual post-presidency, Obama isn’t just staying behind in Washington. He’s working behind the scenes to set up what will effectively be a shadow government to not only protect his threatened legacy, but to sabotage the incoming administration and its popular “America First” agenda.

Obama is intimately involved in OFA operations and even tweets from the group’s account. In fact, he gave marching orders to OFA foot soldiers following Trump’s upset victory.
“It is fine for everybody to feel stressed, sad, discouraged,” he said in a conference call from the White House. “But get over it.” He demanded they “move forward to protect what we’ve accomplished.”

Far from sulking, OFA activists helped organize anti-Trump marches across US cities, some of which turned into riots. After Trump issued a temporary ban on immigration from seven terror-prone Muslim nations, the demonstrators jammed airports, chanting: “No ban, no wall, sanctuary for all!”

I put this in here because some of the story's structure seemed a little more like OP ED to me. Anyway, people were pondering in some of the other threads in BN about who may be behind the protests, and riots....Seems, Obama's OFA is intimately involved....Thoughts?

Trump will destroy his own presidency because he is that damn awful. Of course his low information voters will point the finger at everyone else, while ignoring the flaws of their new orange messiah. Every time something that comes out about Trump that doesn't show him in the most positive light is automatically deemed "fake news" by his minions. I guess that's the "safe space" for Trump and his followers
 
Trump ruined his own presidency when he said that any negative polls of him is fake news. Eventually that is going to bite him in the ass. He is eventuallly going to be the Baghdad bob president before the next presidential election.

I wouldn't say new, people have been talking about low information voters for years. Sadly, it is a fairly accurate description of the majority of American voters.

Obama didn't say he was heartened by anti-Trump protests. He was speaking of Trump's travel ban only, and the protests over it. He said:

"President Obama is heartened by the level of engagement taking place in communities around the country. In his final official speech as President, he spoke about the important role of citizen and how all Americans have a responsibility to be the guardians of our democracy — not just during an election but every day.

"Citizens exercising their Constitutional right to assemble, organize and have their voices heard by their elected officials is exactly what we expect to see when American values are at stake.

"With regard to comparisons to President Obama’s foreign policy decisions, as we’ve heard before, the President fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against individuals because of their faith or religion."

In the late 90'S my boss would listen to Rush . He was using the term back then as slang for stupid people who read only headlines and consider themselves informed. Of course it was with his usual liberals suck retarded monkey nuts rhetoric spliced in.
 
Lol...Wow...Everyone so far, thanks for replying...And although I am not on board with some of the out there conspiracy of the writers hyperbole, the core of the story talking about former President Obama being involved in encouraging, behind the scenes, some of these protests, through his OFA organization to me doesn't seem out of the question...And if true, considering how every other former President in history has at least let some time pass before even commenting on, much less organizing dissent (if true)...Isn't that a problem? Why is one President maligning another "good for America"???

We've never had a president like this. If he wants to chime in when needed I welcome Obama to do it. He's just a citizen and he's not saying anything over the top. Trump could learn some things about Respect from Obama. I'm much more worried that Trump is such a piece of **** that he doesn't care that one of his advisors contacted a foreign dictator to let him know "tell Putin not to worry, onne we are in office we'll bend over for you and let you do what ever you want". He's a despicable piece of **** if Flynn isn't fired.

EDIT: Oh, and you can't elect someone like Donald Trump and then complain non-****ing-stop about how every one else isn't following the normal procedure etc. You wanted to break the political system. So quit crying that the other team isn't following protocol.

You never actually read Obama's statement, so that's why you're confused.
