There is no right for the government to stop people on the street to ask for ID for no reason except that they look Mexican and live or work in a Mexican area. The courts will squash this faster than they did the travel ban. :lol:

Does this mean you favor selective enforcement of the law? We arrest and prosecute some law breakers, but others are passed by?

It seems to me that those who take overt actions to assault the supreme law of the land are far more serious offenders than those who don't have the right paperwork.

If you want illegals out, then you do have to do something like that. I guess you might check everyone's papers. But that would require disproportionately more resources. And it isn't as though it is directed against innocents or citizens. So, what is the alternative compatible with the goals?

On the other hand, I would prefer legalization after learning English and paying a hefty fine.

So? It still does not justify rounding up Brown people to see which ones are here legally and which ones are not. Now, if he rounded up everyone: White, Black, Asian, whatever; and asked us all to prove we belong, it would be legal---but, he won't be president long nor will those congressmen supporting him be on the Hill very long.

Actually, they are enforcing the law. This was created by eight years of defacto amnesty. You never complained about that, you even revelled it. Now, it's time to pay the tab; the party is over.

Anytime they buy something, they pay a tax. And, many of them have payroll tax withheld that they never claim on April 15.
 
Whooo!!! The liberals are outraged that these deportations are going to cripple their voting base! Trump may win California with all these illegals getting deported and being unable to vote!

Sorry, I will never support the Gestapo rounding up people because they look Mexican and asking for their papers. And, I certainly will never support the Gestapo stopping everyone to ask for papers either.

I am not here to evoke sympathy. I am here to discuss certain issues, especially as to how they relate to truth and reality.

I bet they do not support being stopped on the street and asked for ID either. Once the court shoots down this, "Stop the Mexican-looking people" action, the ICE will either have to abandon this endeavor or begin stopping everyone. It's when they start stopping everyone that the Texans will begin to get pissed.

They have a very hard time focusing on the issue. I made the issue clear in the op, but they have ignored that in favor of chasing after the bright shiny object: illegals.
