So, there are many many example from Trump's time on the Presidential Stage, but let's just look very specifically at a recent simple, and easily demonstrated example.

Trump tweeted out last week: "It is a disgrace that my full Cabinet is still not in place. The longest such delay in the History of our country. Obstruction by Democrats."

So here is the problem, it's just not true. It's not like a matter of interpretation or taking words out of context or anything like that at all, the statement is simply flat out false. Obama, Bush, and Clinton, the last three previous presidents, ALL took longer to get their cabinet in place. Obama didn't get his full Cabinet approved until the very end of April.

These are not obscure examples reaching back for some rare example back in the 1800s or something, no, these are his most recent immediate predecessors. And for all I know MOST US presidents take a few months to get their Cabinet approved, I have no idea, when the first three I checked all proved Trump wrong I stopped right there.

So, when Trump made that statement, "the longest such delay in the History of the United States" he must have been talking out of his ass, or deliberately lying, since checking even the most recent available example would have shown that statement to be false.

So I understand what Trump wants, he wants to portray himself as a victim of some massive conspiracy and unprecedented level of undeserved and unreasonable persecution. He wants to portray himself as picked on and bullied so that his indignation can be justified and his supporters can share in his indignation.

So, Trump supporters, which do you think it is, Did Trump know better and make that statement as a lie, or did he make the statement and not even do the most extremely basic minimal fact checking? Is he a liar or is he full of ****?

And further more, cause this is the most important part, doesn't that bother you? Or rather, how on earth does that not bother you?

I think it is worse than that.

I think Trump actually believes the lies he states...so to him, they are not lies.

That is truly disturbing, imo.

As a rule people should disbelieve anything Trump has to say on history, science, economics, and social issues. The people need to hire a fact-checker to be present during all press conferences and interviews, as well as run his tweets through a screening process, where they have to be checked for validity pretweet.

I can't stand liars, and wash them out of my life.

Unfortunately, we can't easily do this with politicians and government.

But what Trump, Bannon, Conway, and Spicer are doing is far worse than mere lying. They are constructing a false reality, using the power of government, and fostering it upon the citizens. And I find this reprehensible. I find Bannon's vision of America, and the methods he uses, beyond reprehensible. And I find Trump despicable for elevating Bannon to this position of power and control.

If you want to understand how the White House currently operates, and to see the direction America is being led, go the Breitbart and read Steve Bannon's pieces and those of others he published while managing editor. Even if you don't make it past Birtherism, you will have gained insight into the White House and the changes coming to America.

Who was this freaked when Obama lied out of his butt? Let's see a show of hands.

Depends on the issue, please give an example and we can discuss it. I was very sure in my OP to draw a distinction between lying, and being mistaken.

Oh...Obama was always, "mistaken"? Yeah...saw that coming.

He's going to talk about something about Benghazi, the "if you like your plan, you can keep it" thing, and a couple other things over the course of 9 years, which amount to diddly squat compared to the frequency with which Trump pulls statistics out of thin air, repeats verifiabley false statements, and bombastic exaggerations. I guess people who don't make an effort to speak accurately don't care about such things, but I do even in casual conversations so I certainly would if I was the leader of the free world.

Two considerations: 1. Trump has fewer cabinet appointments confirmed at this point in his presidency than any other President, so in that light he's right and you're wrong.
2. I didn't vote for Trump and I think he's a liar.

I care more about his actions than his words, and I'm pleased with his actions so far.

Saw it so well, it only took you seven minutes to post your one-liner response.

I smart enough that I don't have to post one hundred words when 17 will do.

I was going to respond to this with an 'LMOA' emoticon, but I suspect you weren't joking here!

That's the conundrum. He does some things I like a lot, and he says some things that disgust or frighten me.
Join the club, Jack.

Earlier-on before he turned really dark, I often said: "In general he has the right message, but he's the wrong messanger."

Then he embraced Steve Bannon, and I drifted away from supporting much of his 'general' message as well.

He lost me by opposing free trade. Still, there have been other things I can support. But I'll spend no energy defending silly rhetoric. In foreign affairs, I don't think he understands how difficult and dangerous some situations are.

What's the message that Bannon's drilled into Trump?

Jack will continue to support the GOP congress, which means he owns trump and his tweets .

Don't let him deflect you from your OP .

pleased with the travel ban that just happen to leave out those nations where he does business....pleased with his appointment of betsy devos? please with his 'filling the swamp with bigger monsters?

Yep, all those things!

What's the message that Bannon's drilled into Trump?
In general, I see two Bannon hallmarks:

1] Trump has been sliding from the optimistic aspects of MAGA, to the more darker elements of 'fear & danger around every corner'. One of Bannon's iconic mottos is: "Fear works"

2] Trump and his inner entourage have been drifting even further into their alt-reality system, assiduously attempting their best to propagate it amongst the American people.

Where did you hear about this "Fear works" thing? I googled it along with Bannon's name and nothing came up. And what do you mean by "alt-reality sytem"?
