Netflix announces release date of show "Dear White People"

Oh yawn. See the little report button down there in the left hand corner? Feel free to report me for pointing out your rank dishonesty and inability to acknowledge a single thing said to you in over 28 pages and dozens of post.

You just keep going in circles, erroneous at first and then blatantly dishonest. Now you are offended? Who cares? You just keep going on and on, which would not be a problem if all of it was no so dishonest.

Nothing I said was dishonest. lol.

Pretty much everything you said was wrong. Then when you started sticking like glue to your erroneous and debunked claims you entered pure dishonest mode. You have stayed there ever since. Then started trying to deflect to arguing about the so called not so successful performance of the film. You were being personally attacked, I'm not being civil to you and on and on you go like that robot bunny toy. So I posted two links to details and numbers about the film, which ended up just like everything else pointed out to you by every poster in the thread. Ignored. Since you have gotten everything else wrong so far, at least you are being consistent with your latest erroneous assertion.

Had you actually bothered to read and then think about what the numbers I posted links to mean? You could have saved yourself another round of rotten egg gluing to you. The film cost less than one hundred thousand dollars to produce film and promote, half of that raised by crowd funding. It went on to earn over six million dollars to date. It is the highest grossing crowd funded film of all time. It won accolades at Sundance and with critics and has now spawned a TV series. So going by a little thing called good math, you still have egg all over you. In usual Hollywood terms a film that returns double its production cost is considered a success. By Hollywood standards Dear White People was wildly successful. So there is virtually not a single fact you have gotten right, you have a zero batting average on this subject. That's just the cold stark fact. The problem is that your arguments are what has not been successful. Sue me and everyone else for recognizing the obvious. Otherwise have a great day. !:2wave:

and now you have changed your position 180 degrees and observe that white males and asian males are OVER-represented on college campuses
previously, you were expressing your sadness for the plight of white males
the only explanation appears to be the decline of white privilege is making you so sad that you must post about it

THe reason they are over-represented is because on average they do better than everyone else... that's the facts. You trying to go against the facts, is institutionalized racism...if asian or white males significantly outperform everyone else on average as individuals they deserve to be in there more...

not once have my positions changed

:lamo You're own link said four million total, not six. It's not even ranked number one at sundance on your own link. lol. Yup, I'm the one here being dishonest. You know, you can pretty much always tell who is losing by who gets personal first. Guess who did that? You.

So...because Netflix puts on some show you think is wrong or racist or whatever...ONE SHOW - you are cancelling your entire membership?

LOL...PC is alive and well on debatepolitics. And PC makes me unliterally sick. PC to me means 'we don't like something - usually for a stupid/ignorant reason - and now we are desperately trying to stop everyone else from viewing/using this thing as well'.

I have never seen it...but it has attracted a lot of good reviews:

'Dear White People was met with critical acclaim. Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a 91% rating based on reviews from 114 critics, with an average score of 7.5/10. The site's consensus reads "Dear White People adds a welcome new voice to cinema's oft-neglected discussion of race, tackling its timely themes with intelligence, honesty, and gratifyingly sharp wit."[16] On Metacritic, the film has a score of 79 out of 100, based on 32 critics, indicating "generally favorable reviews".'

Unless this show portrays 'black' people killing and eating 'white' people and encouraging others to do the same...what's the big friggin' deal?

Anyone who cancels their Netflix account, just because of some show they don't like - that they will not even watch - is infected with PCitis. Especially so if they start trying to get others not to watch it as well.

And anyone afflicted with this debilitating disease should either get drunk and/or stoned IMMEDIATELY and lighten the hell up.

And do not bother responding to this - because I will not read it. I could care less what PC'ers think about the thing they are PC'ing about. Plus - I do not want to become infected with PCitis.

Nighty night.

Trump voters need their safe spaces from this show. What a bunch of snowflakes.

not an argument

No, it is not an argument. It is an observation. Do you know the difference between them?

You really are a masochist huh? What I said was that the film has made over six million dollars to date. You managed to get the domestic box office numbers read, but failed to read and understand the foreign box office numbers as well as DVD and digital figures. Which comes to just over six million dollars and does not include whatever the writer/director is being paid for the TV series. I said nothing about the film being #1 at Sundance, I said it won awards at Sundance. So you are really bad at math? Because just the domestic box office numbers make the film a run away money earner. Then adding the other two million, it is even more successful. There seems to be virtually nothing you can get right about this subject now does there?

You just keep going and going, getting nothing correct at any point along the way.
