Trump's Mental Fitness A Worry Even to His Staffers

Absolutely ridiculous. I was right. You ARE scarey.

He is right though. It is known as 'Amendment 25'. It was put into place after Kennedy was shot, and people thought 'what if he survived but was a vegetable'?

If the man is not full blown mentally ill - he is far far down that path.

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM - 5, Cluster B) for “Narcissistic Personality Disorder” by The American Psychiatric Association (APA) tells us the following about an indentified mental condition.

Here, according to The APA, are the 9 criteria for “Narcissistic Personality Disorder”. If an individual has 5 out of the 9 they have a confirmed diagnosis of this illness. Many individuals have “traits” of narcissism but only about 1% of the population has clinical NPD.

What does it mean if someone does have NPD?

If someone does have “Narcissistic Personality Disorder” they can, indeed, wake up, see a Tweet or a news report from a foreign leader criticizing him, mocking him, calling him “weak” or threatening his ego in any way and order some kind of impulsive, vindictive, punishing, immediate response that could include an unhinged order to attack that foreign leader or foreign country with military force, even including the authorization of nuclear weapons.

It is extremely likely that there would be some kind of impulsive, angry diplomatic response.

Because someone afflicted with this incurable and progressive “Narcissistic Personality Disorder” simply can’t help himself.

We should be afraid ... we should be very afraid. Having a president - with all his powers - who has a mental illness which could manifest itself in any number of terrible ways hurting our nation, out people and possibly the rest of the world is a problem that we have not encountered before.

Not to say I told you so, I told you so. The man is a classic BPD, borderline personal disorder, with paranoia and sociopathic tendencies.

He is right though. It is known as 'Amendment 25'. It was put into place after Kennedy was shot, and people thought 'what if he survived but was a vegetable'?

Ummm, no. Amendment 25 says absolutely nothing about the president being initiated "for an evaluation, if he passes the evaluation he can continue on. If he can't, he can't." NOTHING.

So now this is the ploy. Our media should be ashamed. So should the Democratic congress. So should the rabid left among us.

What do you mean "ploy"?

When the article provides the following quote, is it lying about whether it was said?

“I’ve been in this town for 26 years. I have never seen anything like this,” said Eliot Cohen, a senior State Department official under President George W. Bush and a member of his National Security Council. “I genuinely do not think this is a mentally healthy president.”

Is it a "ploy" because reporting it spreads negative information about Trump, despite the truth of the information?

If we are going to simply ignore everything negative about a certain politician by calling it a "ploy" or "fake news" or whatever, when the negative things are in fact true, then perhaps we don't deserve Democracy anymore. Democracy cannot function if voters simply ignore what they don't want to hear.

Should I call the following article a "ploy" because it quotes GOPers saying negative things about Senator Warren because I happen to lean left? If I find similar articles on various conservative media sites over time, should I say that this is proof that there is a conspiracy on the right to hurt Sen. Warren?

GOP senators defend handling of Warren 'exhibition' | Fox News

How reasonable would that be, in all honesty?

YOu are right.. but it is a way to remove someone who is thought to be mentally unfit.

Please quote the relevant bits. Thanks everso.

25th amendment, section 4

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

If the president objects, Congress can vote (2/3 of birth houses) to declare him unfit.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it...

Which of the narcissist traits above, established by the APA, do you feel/think Dictator Trump does not exhibit?

They say he has to only exhibit 5 to qualify as a narcissist. I counted 9. How many did you count?

I agree it's a possibility. I can't imagine why you would welcome it.

I would welcome candidates that weren't lifetime politicians and attorneys. That would be a vast improvement, in my opinion. Someone like Trump? I oust there IS another...

I didn't count. Did you count how many Ted Kennedy exhibited? Bill Clinton? JFK? Barack Obama? Nancy Pelosi? Lyndon Johnson? Elizabeth Warren? Et al...

This is just more of the same part of the anti-Trump folks who will say anything or do anything to slow down or derail the Trump administration.
People with no first hand knowledge pronouncing that Trump is this or that. Hilarious! The article is pure trash!
The democrats are insane over the loss of the presidential election and we see that behavior everyday! The plan that is being used: Deny, Dispute, Destroy

"according to two sources familiar"

"White House and agency officials alarmed by the president’s conduct."

"some of the leaks are based on opposition to his policies"

Well, yes. Didn't you?

Maggie, you are too good for this world. Do you not notice something a little off kilter in the way Trump thinks, says, acts?

Certainly you must have noticed a little disturbance in the force. The rest of the world has and I just want you to know, we're kinda freaking out over this guy.

I know you like him and all and your loyalty is admirable. I could use a friend like you.

But for the life of me, I cannot understand why you can't see, what I consider to be, as obvious as a mouse turd in a sugar bowl.

I could understand it better if you were to say that you just don't care about Trumps mental challenges because you love him anyways, unconditionally. I can see you being that kind of person. I bet you have some deep friendships. How does it go? "A good friend will help you hide. A best friend will help you hide a body." LOL

But Maggie, just me and you here, can you honestly tell me you haven't observed some very strong psychological symptoms/behaviors from of our CiC that may become a cause of concern? They say love is blind but sheeeesh..... Mouse turd in a sugar bowl!

XOXOXO

JUST HOW IN HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO BE CRANKY WITH YOU AFTER THAT POST!!??? ;) ;)

Actually, I've found fault with him, but when people start saying he's clinically insane? I'm all over it. I've actually noticed an odd affectation. It was apparent when he was shaking hands with his SCOTUS nominee. I think it was when he was introducing him. I'm going to see if I can find it. His handshake, combined with the nominee's reaction, was plain weird.

But he's not NUTZ. Xoxo right back.

Well, I guess we are just armchair psychiatrists but I think if they turned a really good, professional shrink loose in that man's head they would find all kinds of undiscovered whackazoids.

It's just so obvious to me. Elizabeth Warren is kinda whacktard too, if you ask me. But she's crazy in a harmless kinda way. But Trump crazy could be dangerous. Here lately, he's acting so paranoid too. What's up with that? Is he just trying to sell fear to America or is he really freaking out?

Huffpo, nuff said.... no agenda there right?

You can dismiss Hufpo, but not to the fact your boy ticks all the boxes on that list, you should be concerned with that fact.

NPD is a condition which can be diagnosed thru observation, unlike other conditions such as anxiety, depression issues. Trump is now being used as the poster child for NPD in some classrooms. Ya, I know those evil libbo instructors indoctrinating the youth BS, if the shoe fits.

Leaks Suggest Trump's Own Team Is Alarmed By His Conduct | The Huffington Post

The above story won't greatly surprise many who have observed Trump over the past year. It's chilling just the same.

Liberals have only 3 strategies for defeating those who they disagree with and can't defeat in an election:

1. Insult the person's intelligence.
2. Label the person using one or more buzzwords, such as 'racist', and 'islamophobic'.
3. When all else fails, attempt to gaslight the person:

gas·light/ˈɡaslīt/

verb
manipulate (someone) by psychological means into questioning their own sanity.

The Huffington Post has less value than toilet paper, although they are both widely used by assholes.

nutin' wrong with Trump nor his mental state; his ego is just livin' large

he even has a new theme song & video out :lamo

Riiight. Signs and Symptoms of Personality Disorder ? Causes and Effects

Self-diagnosis of a psychological disorder is usually unfeasible simply because you have an inherent bias and will be unable to accurately report your own symptoms. Even if you attempted to diagnose someone else, you would likely have a bias too. Moreover, it’s necessary to have face-to-face interaction with a psychologist who can diagnose disorders, using an interview and long-term observation. Although numerous tests exist on the Internet, none of them can give you a definitive or accurate result.

Narcissistic personality disorder Tests and diagnosis - Mayo Clinic

Narcissistic personality disorder is diagnosed based on:

Signs and symptoms
A thorough psychological evaluation that may include filling out questionnaires
A physical exam to make sure you don't have a physical problem causing your symptoms
