Bernie Sanders vs. Ted Cruz: CNN Debate

Single-payer just makes more sense. The private insurance market is a huge drain on our economy. I understand you are happy with your insurance and if we ever get serious about single-payer people like you should be grandfathered in, if you're coverage includes some extra accommodations. If not, then you'll still be covered, and you'll keep more of your paycheck because single-payer is more cost-efficient.

As I like to point out, until recently the money spent on private insurers was entirely voluntary, and we already collect and spend enough tax dollars to emulate a Canadian or French system in the US and leave the private insurance market alone. Stop regulating private insurance and simply reform Medicaid and Medicare to offer the sort of bare minimum care you get in France and Canada and agree to stop complaining what we who stay in the private market get that you don't and we'll all be happier.

I'm with you. Allow people to buy into Medicare. Obama was never for real health care reform. The ACA is a handout to private insurance companies. A true progressive like Kucinich who championed the public option got yelled at and accused of standing in the way of the ACA when he wouldn't back down on the public option.

So.. anyone watching the debate on CNN? I'm taping it and I plan on watching later tonight.

It was pretty good. Miss BTE (Before Trump Era) where people disagree on policy and not every argument ended with Ad Hominem fallacy

After watching that debacle, there is no way anyone could even pretend that Sanders didnt embarrass himself. He is used to pandering to the masses of adoring empty headed leftists...he should stick to what he is good at.

With almost $2 billion in losses this year, big insurance companies are pulling out of the health-care program.
