The Left's defense is Yiannopolous is spreading "hate speech".

Their speech is to treat the localities where this happens like Ferguson. We've seen a fair bit of this since Nov. 9, 2016.

According to the Left today, anything which vehemently opposes their idiocies and hypocrisies is "hate speech".

Odd isn't it? For such a supposedly tolerant, open minded lot?

And they do this to a Gay man. It seems the Left loses its tolerance and becomes a bunch of bigots when the speaker comes from the right.

I look forward to further examples of Leftists showing a tolerance and understanding for Free Speech.

Poor terrorized snowflakes... fearful of hearing a Gay man dress their idiocies down.

The left couldn't care less about gays, women, blacks, or any of the other minorities they allegedly care about, they only want one thing, and that is power. Power to keep you enslaved by big government, power to lay claim to your land, your money, power to abort your children if you are black. President Trump has put a dent in their plans, that's why they are losing their alleged minds, and I love it, there is no doubt about who they are any more.

To be fair he does and he’s proud of it. I’m sure he was loving the violent response because it gives him so much more attention than if the even had gone ahead peacefully. Who had even heard of his “tour” until this and who is the only one “speaking” in the article about it? He’s one of those people who wilfully plays the violent idiots (or which America seems to have an abundance of) for his own benefit, in his case to get the attention he so clearly craves.

The violence is indefensible and I hope the people responsible are caught and dealt with, regardless of what (they think) their political motives were but let’s not pretend this is about some well-intentioned innocent being cruelly shut down.

I wouldn't say that "left" in the aggregate sense. The dumbass Berkeley jerks seem to be on some level, but that's not the "left" in the aggregate sense, as you are using the term. There are plenty of people with left leaning political philosophies that have no problem with free speech.

I hope they can make arrests, but the agitators were wearing masks and I don't know if they made many arrests last night. Infringement upon the rights of others needs to be punished. Not just by the school, but there needs to be legal ramifications for those who rioted.

I don’t think he cares about “the Left”, only that it is turning attention on him. His entire public image is designed to trigger reactions from as many people as possible, not just “the Left”.

I don’t think anyone should be violent. Presumably that means you don’t consider me part of “the Left” though I certainly hope you’re not going to accuse me of being part of “the Right” instead. Throwing around such simplistic divisive labels just makes you part of the problem.

The protesters who started the rioting where anarchists. Kinda the exact opposite of liberals. In fact, the protests where peaceful for several hours until the black bloc crowd showed up. Facts are not really considered important to some though, nor logic.

In essence the left fears the loss of control. And they will use any means to justify the ends. This includes political violence, as we are seeing, once again, in Berkeley.
