Trump Turns SCOTUS Pick into Reality Show

trump will turn it into a bash-Democrat forum that Sean Spicer does every day with his presser.

While more liberal DEMs can't get past the Garland fiasco, the MAJORITY of SENATE DEMS are on record as saying the appointee will get what Garland didn't, a fair hearing and a vote .

More folks will tune in and be engaged on what's happening around them by doing it this way verse the typical press release hardly anyone would bother to read. That is a good thing that could help us from having another election between the two worst possible candidates.

I can see how having more people informed would danger the current system that relies on 10 second sound bytes to keep people stupidly loyal to a particular party.

The same people praising Obama for alternative forms of communications to get his message out are the same folks mocking Trump for trying something different.

Lets actually wait and see how this plays out before criticising it.

yeay---let's treat politics like WWE. Actually, that may not be a bad idea.

Maybe engaging more WWE and Bachelor types, we get more people involved in the process instead of just a fraction of the eligible voters turning out every two years.

Conservative U.S. appeals court judge Neil Gorsuch has been told he is likely President Donald Trump's pick to fill a seat on the U.S. Supreme Court that has been vacant for almost a year, CNN reported on Tuesday, citing an unnamed source.

Gorsuch, 49, who would replace the late Antonin Scalia, is a judge on the Denver-based 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. He was appointed by President George W. Bush in 2006. Some Democrats in the U.S. Senate, which votes on whether to confirm judicial nominees, have already said they would seek to block whoever Trump nominates.

Or it could be a false lead to drive up the drama. Now what would be really fun is if neither of the two candidates that are said to be in Washington because they are the favorites is the actual guy, which would be good for me because in another Thread I predicted that it would be Pryor and he is not one of the two, and I dont like being wrong.

This is entertaining!

This is actually kind of shrewd. Supreme Court picks and confirmations are newsworthy but Live Streaming is going to get much wider audience. It primes the pump for tuning into the confirmation. It also gives him a chance to, again, bypass the media and allow an unadulterated hearing of why he chose the way he did.

It may be a circus but then again, it may be the greatest show on earth.

I am liking how well Trumps talents translate to his new gig.

Watching a TV show or movie you're expected to "suspend your disbelief".
Mr. Trump is a master of the media. That's for sure.

A pity, huh, that he has suspended our allies in disbelief.

The neighborhood is just going to have to understand that there is a dispute in House USA, and roll with it tell we get things sorted.

We do not nor should we live for them.

AMERICA FIRST!

Trump is a Drama Queen. Who knew???:lamo

Not sure if youre being smart ass or not.

But I do believe we need more people engaged in politics.

It's not just the WWE folks. More folks who actually do pay can see it. I generally tune in whenever the president has a primetime news conference speech whatever. It's always better to hear information from the source than get it flitetered with biases second hand from an article

I see this as something that could be a good thing that could easily slip into game show territory If not properly handled. I'll wait and see how it turns out before I judge it.

Well, I guess we deserve this buffoonery.

Donald Trump Is Treating His Supreme Court Decision Like 'Celebrity Apprentice' | The Huffington Post

I've never been more embarrassed by my country

Perhaps some therapy would be of assistance.

"You need to become more humble.
Not in a sense of shutting down even more and being depressed but by lowering your ego.
If you believe that you and you alone will be held responsible for all the unsavory things which happen in [your country] with a mark of a martyr, you have a Napoleon Complex."

Paraphrasing from a response by Margaret Weiss in:

Just trying to be helpful in an effort to end your suffering and that of your fellow snowflakes.

I was being serious. If Trump has managed to succeed at anything, it is to attract people to politics who normally would not be engaged in political discussion at all. I can see it on my face book--people who never voted before, voted this year, and now they cannot shut up about politics.

That's not all bad.

For the first time in my life, I am not proud of my country.

How's that?

I never met a snowflake baby, but these people made a cause out of them:

And Obamas wife wasnt proud of her country till 2008..

Lol...Trump won!

And he has already broken several dubious records. Like this one.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-better-than-this-ban/?utm_term=.9582bbc8be1f

“This dissent cable illustrates a widespread sense of outrage and alarm throughout the building,” one State Department official said. “Most State Department career staff signed up for these jobs with a sense of duty and pride in America on the world stage. One role is to uphold and represent American values and strategic interests on the world stage. This executive order is contrary to that mission.”

This is not the end of their activity either; I’m told more Dissent Channel memos are in the works and are expected to receive widespread support.

There is a significant distinction between "snowflake baby" and just plain "snowflake" in the modern vernacular. Perhaps this will help:

Tomi Lahren Explains Why You Might Be A Snowflake (Video)

Admittedly there are other definitions including light cold moisture precipitates that fall from the sky, and very unique individuals. Neither of which was my use here.

On this much we agree. I find the zeaoltry and hyperbolic reactions to Trump, by the left embarassing. The more it goes on the less i listen
