Trump Turns SCOTUS Pick into Reality Show

It's a real problem with the debt and the economic imbalances and the growing risks of major war. But it won't make it easier, if we produce t-shirts at American prices. Europe should reintroduce national currencies and we should learn how to be more competitive.

Again, the current system is toast. We need to make sure that we can take care of ourselves during the coming super depression, as global trade will at that point likely grind to a halt. The brits are getting ready, over the last 20 years they have lost the majority of their production capacity but with a hard BREXIT much of it will be coming back. I also point out that the major reason in my opinion that Greece did not do what they needed to do in leaving was because they too have lost most of their production capacity, and with their horrible financial condition they have no ability to rebuild it so they got stuck needing to stay in the EU, which is a train to certain doom for them.

American needs to at the 11th hour get ready for what is coming as best we can, we need to rebuild the place, taking on more debt that will never be paid if need be.

That is quite an accurate description. The system is out of kilter in many ways and it has been many years in the coming.
Where we differ is that I think we could still get a hold on it. The measures required are certainly much more difficult to take, than they would have been earlier and time is getting short. What I don't think is that Trump has made proposals that go in the right direction as a package. Some do and I might be wrong, but the proposed mix doesn't quite seem to.

Reagan (the programs) was an attempt to get ahead of it which failed, Clinton was a double down that failed, and after the idiotic response to 9/11 any chance of salvage was gone in my opinion (Bin Laden sure called that one right). The Great Recession and all that went around it was the wake-up call to the nation, which brought about Trump, which has us now at "**** it all, we are going to save ourselves as best we can".

Some people think that the Davos crowd could have saved the day had they been interested, which of course they were not because all that has ever been is a planning season for the wealthy to figure out ways to take a bigger skim for themselves, I go back and forth on that. Even now they are not the least bit interested, now that the people of the world are rapidly losing hope in the faulty systems as the globe devolves into chaos.

There are very few leaders anywhere, that at the end of the day precludes any progress. Trump is an aberration of that, while deeply flawed he is a reminder of the long dead and gone men who built civilization, guys who had that great combo of smarts a decent moral bearing and moral courage.

There is a huge chance that Trump will fail, but at least he is trying. Damn few others can say the same. He deserves our support.
