Iran put a ban in effect on anyone coming from America

Most people haven’t. What a lot of people are doing is turning Trump’s own rhetoric on him. During the election campaign he initially proposed an actual “Muslim Ban” – a complete shutdown of all Muslims coming to America. Only when it finally got through to him that this would likely be illegal and almost certainly be impossible did he start to water down his policy, ultimately getting to what we have today.

The only reason the term “Muslim Ban” exists is because that’s what he initially proposed. If he’d started out with a more rational and reasoned proposal in the first place, the concept wouldn’t exist as a tool for his opponents to (mis)use. It’s also much like the rhetoric he likes to use himself. Maybe you could think of it as “alternative truth”. :cool:

What on earth are you trying to say? Try English. You seem unable to form a cohesive, understandable sentence that responds to the post you have quoted. Are you agreeing that any individual who is not Christian should not be allowed into America or not? Are you frightened of asserting your position or do you wish to continue to coyly defect with a stupid ;) that means, "haha, I'm not going to answer because I am lying through my teeth!"

That is the most dishonest response I've seen so far in this thread.

I'm assuming the Iran ban is a tit for tat, retaliatory type thing, like they're giving us a taste of our own medicine. My response to being informed that I wouldn't be allowed in Iran is complete indifference. Admittedly, I hadn't heard about this ban until I saw this thread and for all I know it's been in place forever.

This is a good thing. Remember all the stories about Americans being held hostage by Iran because they were hiking nearby? Remember the ransom that was paid. Maybe this keeps those kinds of idiots from going there and becoming hostages.

I'd like to see it, pretty place. I had a friend who used to overnight there with Pan Am, long ago, said it was nice.

I guess I can still go there with the other passport, but that could cause problems if I need a sec clearance in the future.
