The left doesn't believe in free speech. You should know based on their tantrums they have thrown after Trump was elected. If they could, they would kill every Republican in the country.

Did the government threaten to lock up the Pastor? Did the state censor him?

Free speech is not freedom from public disapproval of what you say or do. It is a restriction on the government from interfering in what you say and do.

Well, we've always got to remember that free speech comes with a guarantee that the gvmt will not persecute you, but not that your congregation may not fire you. Free speech has often has civilian consequences.

I suspect that this thread is just trolling, but please do correct me if I am wrong in the assumption that no "government agent" took or threatened negative action against this Pastor as a result of his defense of a tweet.


Are you waiting for someone to point out that the "constitutional right" of "free speech", so you can respond that you were speaking more generally? Because if the government didn't cause him to repent with threat of some kind of negative treatment, then 'free speech' and "constitutional rights" have nothing to do with it, and I rather suspect you know that.

They weren't. It is the agenda of the Left to pressure everybody to think and talk the way that they approve of or they will chastise and ridicule you.

He took down something that was fine due to worry about offending people.

He was afraid that he would assaulted for posting a tweet. Attacking people of the opposite political leaning is a common tactic that the left is using these days.

This had more to do with silencing someone telling the truth about Hillary and the Dems than anything else. The DNC assassinated the Bernie Sanders supporter who gave information to wikileaks.

Im not sure what the problem is with any of this. Im also not sure why people wet themselves over 'blackface'. Im not sure why people are upset over satire. Im not sure why it surfaced January 29th.

It doesnt appear that the pastor was coerced to remove it or that it was a Constitutional 'free speech' issue.

And I dont think the MSNBC knew the cardinal rule...never give a Pastor a microphone.
