The left makes a distinction between Hitler and Stalin. Our Founders did not. Both were equal and equally illegal big govt liberals to our Founders.

The left pretends or lies because the truth makes all the evil and violence in human history theirs. Our Founders knew this 200 years ago; yet even after seeing the great 20th Century liberals: Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Castro modern liberals still don't know it.

Only someone who knows absolutely nothing about history would equate the two as one and the same. Their reigns overlapped in time and they were tyrants, and that is pretty much where their similarities ended.

Had Hitler killed because of political reasons instead of ethic/religious reasons the left would be wearing Hitler t-shirts.

The similarities, however, are quite real. Both embraced collectivism as the idea, hated capitalism, squashed the individual and saw the state as supreme. One fought for the Fatherland, the other, for the Motherland. Neither fought for the individual. That is the essence of the American ideal. So in practice, there is no real difference between the Fascists and the Communists. Both are evil, oppressive ideologies born of the same basic principles.

Because the left has successfully manipulated history and made it as if certain ideologies are even remotely rational.

Communism has claimed MANY more lives than National Socialism (they're both terribly awful) but it is more socially acceptable to identify as communist because it's an ideology on the "left".

You see people walking around with Che Guevara pins and stuff like that but walk around with a Nazi party pin or have a swastika tattoo? Say goodbye to your social life with anyone who isn't a neo-nazi.

But listen lets normalize big government and ideologies that have killed hundreds of millions of people, I'm sure it'll work out great.

"Born of the same principles"? Are you f'ing kidding me? Is that the latest "alternative fact" that the White House is spinning? The principles of Fascism and Communism are not even remotely close.

Now if you meant to say that in practice they are not terribly far apart, in the name of the horseshoe theory I can see what you're coming from. But you should have worded your posts better.

Yes they were. I just listed the principles that unite them

I worded the post perfectly. Communism and fascism are both collectivist dictatorships. They are two sides of the same coin. Hitler and Stalin had the same goals and used the same methods. A person who believed in individual rights and human liberty would meet the same fate at the same rate of speed under either man. Hitler repsresnted the collectivist right and Stalin the collectivist left. The basic ideology of both men was collectivism.
 
Our founders didn't know who Hitler and Stalin were. That's the dumbest statement I've heard this week.

Well I know an enormous amount about history - trust me. Hitler's National Socialist Party was just that: Stalin's was an international socialist party. Not the same but close. Both believed in an all-powerful state and the complete absence of civil and individual liberties.

Hitler did kill for political as well as ethic reasons.

Btw he instructed his military to try and kill me (in London, from 1940 to 45); I didn't spend too much time pondering his motives though.

The key is they were both statist ideologies

If you know a lot about history you will know that the Western powers were made up with fascism as per Nazi Germany and Mussolini's Italy prior to it biting them themselves.

You will know that many many Leftists themselves died in the camps the Nazis built

All civil and individual liberties have been won by popular struggle in the vast majority of cases and are not gifts given by benevolent elite power circles

Hitler fought against the Marxist parties in Germany (they were quite strong at the time) and believed in the concept of private property. His confiscations were limited to Jews and "subversives". There was no Govt. takeovers of private German companies unless they were Jewish. That is a huge distinction from Stalin.
 
Anyone willing to make a guess as to how many people have died as a result of the capitalist system run by capitalists ?

Did you think the Bill of Rights was designed to prevent the Girl Scouts from taking away your freedom of speech. It was liberal govt that was the anticipated enemy!!!! Now do you understand???
