At the moment there are so many outrages, executive orders, protests, and controversies that none of them can get enough oxygen. I can’t obsess about problem X because the rest of the alphabet is coming at me at the same time.

...You’re probably seeing the best persuasion you will ever see from a new president. Instead of dribbling out one headline at a time, so the vultures and critics can focus their fire, Trump has flooded the playing field. You don’t know where to aim your outrage. He’s creating so many opportunities for disagreement that it’s mentally exhausting. Literally. He’s wearing down the critics, replacing their specific complaints with entire encyclopedias of complaints. And when Trump has created a hundred reasons to complain, do you know what impression will be left with the public?

He sure got a lot done...

Scott Adams, creator of the Dilbert cartoon, predicted that Trump would win the presidency way back in July or so of last year.

I love his work. One of the best cartoonists out there today.
I am a huge fan of Dogbert.

And people will praise the man for doing so many stupid, outrageous things to hurt the nation that it's hard to focus on any one thing. What a genius, that Trump, being so bad a president you can't even figure out where to start criticizing him!

Worth noting. Adams has never been a big fan/supporter of Donald Trump.

His predictions were/are more based on just intellectual observation. (And Scott Adams is a pretty brilliant observer.)

There, there. Take a deep breath and begin at the beginning. We're here for you. Sometimes just getting it all off your chest can be cathartic.

It's fun when people project this hard :lamo

But hey, if it makes you feel better, you can continue to believe my laughing my ass off at the gullibility of Trumpettes is me freaking out :)

Heh. Yeah, I'm projecting.

Heh. Yeah, I'm projecting.

No, really, you can think i'm crying or freaking out or need a safe space. It doesn't bother me. Whatever makes you feel better, buddy. This is a safe space. Want a hug?

Sure. Too early for alcohol. OTOH, if you'd made your decision after 8 days based on next to nothing, one can safely conclude that anything Trump does will not meet with your esteemed approval regardless of what it might be. It's objectivity on display.

Of course, it's all a mater of perspective deuce.

You see damage, because his actions are counter to your beliefs and those that agree with them.

For others, the last 8 years have been damaging, with a President so obsessed with image and legacy, the needs of the people were ignored.

I can appreciate this change is not acceptable to those who preferred the status quo of the previous administration.

So, the roles have shifted, and the complainers you ignored, are the gloaters you can't seem to.

The only thing DJT is going to hurt is your beloved socialism. Like Brannon said, "shut up and listen."

So, Trump has done "next to nothing" and has promised to do "next to nothing?" Is that your claim, or are you claiming I shouldn't judge Trump based on what he has done and what he has promised to do?

The only thing DJT is going to hurt is your beloved socialism.

And you will never believe otherwise, no matter what harm he causes. No evidence will sway you.

You think more people were at Trump's inauguration than Obama's, and you think Trump won the popular vote if you take out non-citizen votes. Don't you?

I'm suggesting that perhaps 8 days does not establish a track record worthy of judgement. In large part, Trump's flurry of EO's direct agencies to enforce laws already in place. Do you have an objection to the country enforcing it's laws?

I'm suggesting that many of Trump's stated plans are wasteful, do you have an objection to fiscal responsibility? I am also suggesting that many of Trump's plans fundamentally undermine the principles on which this nation was founded. Do you have an objection to a nation abiding by its founding principles?

Please elaborate on why you hold our founding principles in such contempt.

I asked first. Do you have an objection to the nation enforcing its laws?
