Your beloved private sector outsider who promised to drain the swamp has proven over and over, he's not the alligator wrestler he claims to be.

Trump refuses to comply with the 2 year rule. Obamas 2year rule is designed to fight corruption as it disallows people who were recent members of corporations from government appointments.

Rex Tillerson who was recently paid a retirement package of 180 million from ExxonMobile, is set to become our next Secretary of State. Which is a refreshing change of pace as now we are openly and honestly telling the world that our foreign policy and diplomacy is centered around fossil fuels.

Tillerson has deep ties to Russia & Putin. Tillerson was named a national "Friend of Russia" and we can expect the Russian sanctions to be lifted so that, together they may begin profitable negotiations.

Rick Perry, who expressed disappointment that his job as the head of the Dept. of Energy, requires no lobbying for fossil fuels, has recently sat on the board of Energy Transfer Partners, the parent company of the Dakota Access Pipeline, of whom Trump is personally invested.

Scott Pruitt, Trumps appointment to head the EPA, holds no personal conviction of man made climate change, despite current parts per million carbon levels exceeding 400 as well as the hottest summers on record every year.

Based on this information I can conclude that Trump has no intention of honoring the Paris agreement, that he puts profit above planet, and that most conservatives are along for the ride.

He's nto going to saddle the USA with political rules that wouldn't have mattered a whit to the climate but would have been economically disastrous? Terrible, really...

Trump nominated him. He was approved along party lines by the committee. Some of the Repubs' finest voted for him. Why would they do this? Where was the questioning re this in the hearings? And if a law has been broken, where's the general outrage? Is he going to be prosecuted? Where's a link discussing this from mainstream?

Well, we just had a president owned by Big Environment, so this one being owned by Big Oil can be seen as a counterweight.

Trump is owned by Big Oil

Well, Bin Laden was Saudi. The Saudis are known to supply and give money to terrorists groups. And 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers were Saudi.

But lo and behold Saudi Arabia is NOT one of the ME countries that's on Trump's banned immigrates list.

I think you're onto something.

Here's a link to the ethics pledge:
https://www.justice.gov/jmd/ethics-pledge-executive-order-13490

As I understand it, this is still in effect, unless Trump repealed it. The evidence that Trump and his team are mired in corruption is piling up with every new decision that I have seen.

Big Oil, Big Banks, Big Business all terrify you liberals, yet you run into the arms of Big Government whos danger to the lives and liberties of people fills every page of human history.

I am not a socialist. I am not a capitalist. Having one without the other proves unsustainable. If you have both of them in requisite measurements you have a recipe for success.

Ask the people who lost their pensions and homes, if Mnuchin and the Goldman Bros are such great guys or not.

Why is it that Libs ALWAYS try to PROVE their argument by the tactic of the prediction of dire consequence.

The EPA has been an overreaching, obnoxiously agenda driven department of self important zealots all bent on stopping the evil of Big Oil.

The EPA has been in existence since the 70's.

What has been the effect of this campaign by the zealots you love?

I'll give you a hint in the article linked below:

Figure 1 shows the huge increase in world energy consumption that has taken place in roughly the last 200 years. This rise in energy consumption is primarily from increased fossil fuel use.

Make America Drill Again.

Check out what we have, when 97% of the scientific community says that climate change is real and caused by human activity.

I'm no pro EPA guy. Theoretically it's a great idea. Prevent corporations from cutting costs by polluting the environment. But, as it stands it is a bunch of beauracrats, more concerned with BEING RIGHT than WHAT IS RIGHT. (They recently distorted reports on the Flint situation to save face)

At any rate, big oil has been calling the shots since the 70s. Thanks to guys like the Koch bros and the Supreme Court Citizens United decision.

However the jig is about up for fossil fuels.

We are going forward with green alternative energy, which by the way creates a brand new private sector of jobs. And we're leaving behind the gas guzzling world of the 20th century.

Trump's present infatuation with the expansion of drilling is a last death rattle before we get off the fossil fuels and EXXON's business model either adapts or is eaten by the free market.

What and where is this 2 year agreement that disallows people who were recent members of corporations from government positions?

If you are talking about 13490 (http://www.dod.mil/dodgc/defense_ethics/resource_library/eo13490_pledge_handout.pdf) it doesn't say that.

Trump stated that TPP needs to be renegotiated.

No

Did you complain about the ethics of the Dems in the Obama Adninistration during the Obama Administration?

That indeed is the pledge. I believe Wilbur Ross and Rick Perry signed a 1 year pledge. But, to any objective eye it will be hard to make the case that Trump's cabinet is not hostile towards the environment.

When you have the shutdown of government scientists communicating with the public because it won't play politically, there is a sign of a scared man who knows he holds the wrong position on an issue important to all people, but he wishes to move forward for financial motives, implicit in his recent EO to begin pipeline construction.

As for the TPP.. Kudos to Trump. I'm proud he kept his campaign promise as long as the bilateral agreements benefit the American worker.

Yes, I'm no democratic loyalist. I was asleep until Bernie Sanders came around to give lucidity to the progressive movement.

Believe it or not, I've disparaged Clinton more than Trump. The establishment dems are swimming in corporate cash and are total hypocrites but, that doesn't give the other side of the aisle permission to be corrupt.

At least our representatives know these things and can keep an eye on it. But how else would you have it? It is less likely that this caliber successful is less likely to be as cheap to pocket as people that have only been successful in politics. Just think about Schröder in Germany. Or think what $100 millions income meant to Clinton and how it would affect someone that already has a couple of them stashed away.

Actually we spend a lot of time trying to stop you people from using government to force your moral code on others.

Again, where is this 2 year rule?

I read the revolving door ban. I read the entire EO. I saw nothing similar to your statement.
