Are you for Free Trade or Fair Trade?

Speaking of weaseling, many people on here are not even old enough to remember Clinton's unintelligible explanation of his NAFTA boondoggle.

I like fair trade.

Certain tariffs/taxes .....or whatever name you give them, are necessary.

There are costs involved by every importing country in regards to security, inspection, ecological impact, and many other areas of general & consumer safety that are too mundane for the average person to consider.

It is totally off the wall. That does not mean that the situation has been good. But things like trashing TPP are stupid on many levels. It is in a way how the Eu treated Turkey for which it is now paying a heavy price for its arrogance.
