Although Ann Coulter and millions of other alt-right Trumpers have yet to fully grasp how badly they have been punked by the consummate bombastic flim-flammer Donald Trump. Their demigod has been quite busy ignoring or canceling his signature promises for action on "the first day" of office. Yet, as recently as January 19th, the Trump groupie Judge Napolitano on FOXNEWs announced that Trump had assured the Judge he would be signing up to 200 executive orders on his first day in office.

Counts vary but
observers have tallied over 36 promises for action on Day One, the most important of which are those on immigration that launched and symbolized his campaign of "telling it like it is", and which subsequently swept 14 million primary voters into the ecstasy of Trump delirium if not episodes of partisan glossolalia.

Donald Trump promised action on his pledges in the two issue areas foundational to Trump’s campaign support: immigration and (then) trade. It was in the summer of 2015 Trump exploited the hottest button in national politics, immigration, and pounded on it like it was a video game fire button. Trump warned his base that Mexico was not sending “its best” (although Trump said he was sure there were some “good ones”) and assured millions he would secure the border with a ‘great, big, beautiful wall’ paid by Mexico and cancel Obama's illegal executive orders.

Not long after, Trump seized on China and unfair trade.

To be sure, since then Trump has made dozens of additional first day pledges on Climate Change, US Defense, Nato, Healthcare, Ethics, and Regulation but the following “first day pledges” have been been his signature issues for 18 months, the key issues that fueled his blue collar support. :

On the FIRST DAY Trump pledged to:

– Order all federal funding of sanctuary cities to cease.
– Immediately Cancel of Obama’s two executive amnesties of illegals, and return to full enforcement of the law.
– Begin the deportation of over 2 million criminal illegal immigrants.
– Begin the process of building a great wall across the southern border
– Formally request of Congress to pass Kate’s law
– Suspend immigration from terror prone areas where vetting is ineffective.
– Suspend Muslim immigration
– Order the DECLARATION OF CHINA as a currency manipulator
– Cancel the Trans Pacific Trade Agreement
– Announce his desire to renegotiate NAFTA
– Cancel every one of Obama’s “unconstitutional executive action, memorandum, and order by President Obama”

If Ann Coulter, and millions of others, waited expectantly for Trump to demonstrate he is not a politician but "the real deal", they are waiting for Godot. Of the 36 or more pledges, he kept at most three (8 percent.). More importantly the news is now leaking that Trump no longer wishes to deal with immigration till later, and wishes to continue the Obama's policy of enforcement. In other words, Trump is "busy" undermining, delaying, or sinking ALL his major major promises to ACT on day one.

In short, he made a monkey out of the 14 million Trump primary voters that thought he was their salvation...LOL.

I think he's busy chasing down those "3 million illegal immigrants who voted illegally."

Of the 36 or more pledges, he kept at most three (8 percent.).

While I agree its unrealistic to accomplish all of those objectives on Day 1; I do think momentum towards all of those issues will be noticeable after his first 100 days.

Unfortunately, he's had to play politics with House democrats holding up his nominations. Do they not own some of the blame. :)

This latest Anti-Trump rant has been brought to you by the "We Hate Trump" Council.

The "We Hate Trump" Council: Whining like little babies since May 3rd, 2016!

Once he finds out the true size of his inaugural crowd he should be fine *eye roll*

So you are upset a politician whose policies you disagree with has not been quicker to implement those policies?

Or are you pointing out that like the man before him and the man/woman after him Trump has overstated his abilities to accomplish all he promised or either flat out lied in order to gain votes from the dimwitted amoung us.

Talking down to Trump supporters only strengthens their support for the turd bucket.

Hoping in 2020 dems run the best candidate for the country and not give us another next in line candidate that could only loose to Trump like in this election

I think you are confusing what he said he WANTS to do in his first 100 days with what you think he said he was GOING to do on his first day.

How could I be upset with Trump as "a politician"; after all one of the oft repeated justifications for uncritical support of Trump in the primary was he was not NOT a politician but a successful CEO who "said it like it was" and would "get it done". He spent a year and half lambasting anyone who questioned his grand proclamations as if they were questioning his character.

So now that he has failed to deliver on HIS OWN SELF IMPOSED DEADLINE (as of the moment) on a signature promise, you are telling us skeptics we were right? So yes, I am pointing out he "overstated" (aka made hyperbolic and dishonest claims) on his "ability", or flat out lied.

That's the point.

It's simple: Trump said he would cancel Obama's two executive orders on DAY one. He said he would impound funds for sanctuary cities on DAY One. He said he would immediately begin working on the border wall. And that he would immediately start deporting 2,000,000 now, and begin the process of making or forcing the 11,000,000 illegals return to their country.

The day he does that, he has (belatedly) kept his pledges. And until he does, he's showing his character. (His followers are already smelling a rat):

Ok so Trump is dishonest. I agree. All of the people I know who voted for him agree. If only the Democrats hadn't put up the only candidate that could make the liar Trump look believable we could be talking about what President Webb fibbed about.

I did my part and cast my vote for someone other than the two lying ****birds can you say the same?

He's been in office four days and already you're calling him a failure? Couldn't you give him at least a week?

Ok, just got to say something here. Anyone that knows me knows I am no trump supporter, but fro what I have seen trump is addressing those issues, maybe watching the news outlets would help. I may disagree with trump in many areas but saying he is not trying to carry out is agenda is just ludicrous. Talk about thread Fail. Try to do better next time.

Or maybe Smack On Head would be more appropriate:mrgreen:

Leftists, they don't know whether to sh*t or go blind. LOL

Whine about DJT's policies, and then whine because they think he isn't following through on his polices. You just can't make those people happy.

He's been in office four days and already you're calling him a failure? Couldn't you give him at least a week?

... a month from now: "Couldn't you wait until the first 100 days pass?"

... six months from now: "At least give him a year!"

... two years from now: "Let's wait and see what he can do with the new Congress!"

... three years and ten months from now: "Won't you give him another term?? He promises he'll do it next time!"*

*(or maybe he'll not make it that long after all)

Actually, I'm not feeling punked at all. When he won, I was both optimistic and apprehensive in pretty equal amounts. His time as President-Elect and his first few days have me becoming more and more optimistic.

He will sign orders this week for funding on the wall. He has backed out of TPP. He has greenlit Dakota and Keystone. He's moving forward with the Supreme Court nominee. He implemented a Federal hiring freeze (that is HUUUUUUGE). He has cajoled/strong-armed/persuaded business to keep or create jobs in the US. I have been applauding his appointments. Chinese investors are bringing in billions. The stock market is surging (20K!). We even have a Sec. of Defense with the nickname "Mad Dog" -- when that was announced I could not stop grinning.

He has provided (me) more hope and good change in a week than I had in the last eight years. Some may call this failing. I call this epic winning.
