Trump smacks Merkel

Has anyone actually seen her popularity poles?

FFS, because the biggest liar in office ever says something is so doesn't mean it is. And in this case his mindless wanderings are of no value whatsoever.

And Obama is leaving office with "high popularity ratings" and he's been an absolute disaster of a president.

So does that mean that there is hope for trump to still be an awful President and still be loved? Nope, he is not lovable.

I wonder how this will play with the German electorate... as many believe Merkel ****ed up royally by encouraging the Islamic & Others Tsunami to invade not just Germany but Europe.

To put her in the same boat as Putin is hilarious. I could understand it if he said that about Schroeder, who is on the Russian payroll.

A lot of Europeans will be happy to hear what he said... the elite... not so much.

I think this was Trump's way of telling Merkel and Steinmeier to shove it.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...ks-in-2017-including-protectionist-tendencies
Berlin (AFP) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel warned Saturday against protectionist tendencies of US President-elect Donald Trump, citing lessons learned in the 2008 global financial crash and stressing the need to "move forward together".
On the campaign trail Trump notably threatened to take protectionist measures against Chinese and Mexican imports, and claimed a first success with a decision by US motor giant Ford not to build a new plant in Mexico.

Trump's attitude has fuelled concern in Germany: on Thursday Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said he was "perplexed" by Trump comparing the leak of a dossier of unsubstantiated allegations against him to something that could have happened in Nazi Germany.

During the US campaign, Steinmeier was even more damning, saying the prospect of a Trump presidency was "frightening" for the world.

He compared Trump to a "hate preacher", saying he had much in common with "fearmongers" in Germany's right-wing populist AfD party and advocates of Britain's exit from the EU.

The entire of Syria could have been moved to Europe and that wouldn't happen.

You are echoing the sentiments of European White Nationalists.

People have an obligation to defend their culture and freedoms and society they live in that was built by their ancestors. They have an obligation to create the best environment for their children and their grandchildren.

Bringing in a bunch of low-IQ high crime individuals with a diametrically opposite culture is not fulfilling this obligation, particularly when you bring in these people en mass.

This retarded "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, white nationalism!" is kind of boring because I never see people on the left complain about, Japan, for example, which is an extremely xenophobic and ethnically homogeneous country. I don't have anything against them, I feel they have every right to run their society the way they want to.

I have a 50 / 50 bet with myself that he'll claim it didn't happen, or that it was an outlier. I suspect there's more of that kinda of crap going on than ever makes it to the press here in the US.

I'll bet on 'outlier'. He'll use the standard PR script, "most are grrrrrreat people".

Nevermind the
-terrorism
-crime
-attacks against women
-radicalism
-complete financial dependence on the Germany people
- inability to assimilate
- lack of gratitude towards the people who saved them from Isis.

The first human beings on this planet evolved in Africa.

How do you think that the human race would be doing right now if mankind had never left Africa and moved to the rest of planet Earth?

Fill us in.

What was wrong with going to Turkey, or having these people go to other ME lands? That would have been wiser.

Source : Facts and figures about refugees

Most refugees already go to Turkey, it's not like the ME isn't doing anything.
My biggest issue is Saudia Arabia. Richest country of the ME, 0 refugee intake.

From the OP article:

'The incredible remarks will send shockwaves throughout the EU.'

Give me a break...shockwaves? More like ripples.

Few take Trump seriously when he blurts on and on...even in Europe (I assume).

What he said - though I do not agree with it - was no big deal anyway.

I am quite sure Merkel knows what a buffoon Trump is - just like most of America does. Publicly, she might freak out a little. But privately, I bet she is just rolling her eyes at his remarks.

I will say though, as much as I usually disagree with him, his frankness is quite refreshing in an era of pathetic PC.

He might continue to drive America further into the ground (like GWBush and Obama before him)...but at least it won't be boring.

Well, he is quite right as far as the invitation of refugees is concerned. It was unprofessional dither and has caused a danger that the German political elite might snatch more power, than is good for the country, Europe or us. But it is certainly causing some excitement here. Its coincidence with a very visible if somewhat difficult politician leaving the CDU. With her a whole portion of very dependable voters are expected to break away.

What is causing much more excitement is that he said that Brexit was a good understandable, That the EU is probably going to unwind and that Nato had lost its lifeline by not having focused on terrorism and being unfairly financed.

I haven't read the interview yet, but this is the reproduction that was aired this morning on public radio.

This you consider to be a serious argument? It's funny, not serious.

The EU is largely similar to the Leftist Amerikans who lost their minds on November 9, 2016.

When it comes to letting in a million illegals, is it seems Merkel was blind to the terrorism at the hands of Islamists around the world, including some pretty vile **** in Europe.

It was pure idiocy.

What? No I think she was well aware of what she was doing. She was importing votes to increase the power of her party, plain and simple. She has no respect for her culture or country and is willing to sacrifice it upon the alter of multiculturalism in favor of political power.

I haven;t seen her popular pole, but I have seen polls, and election results.

I've been following German politics for well over 2-decades, spend ample time there... and she started changing her tune after the aFD began gaining ground.

Then we had the massacre in Berlin at the Christmas market.

I posted a thread on the sexual crimes they've committed... and those are the ones only reported.

It's odd... you hear of an attack somewhere, and it's a Muslim(s). The nut job Brevik was the exception.

WE WERE UNPREPARED' Angela Merkel admits she may have blundered with Germany’s open-door immigration policy after she is hammered in the polls

It wasn;t that Germany was unprepared... which they weren't... Merkel ****ed up royally. Everyone knows it.

Things were so bad, they closed part of the Austrian/German border to train traffic for a quarter year. I know... every couple weeks I'd have to trek to Salzburg to pick up someone.

You folks who are locked in the US have no clue. None.

Did we expect anything different, after all, being an owner of an International beauty pagent is not exactly a course in foreign affairs, though its probably good training if one excells at ***** grabbing, who knew the Birther and Chief was such an animal lover.

Getting German citizenship is not easy like the US... and the US is tough, unless you have family, or you're an illegal!!!

Voting... as a legal foreigner is only allowed in local elections.

Preposterous.

The hatred in your heart is yours to bear.

Since when is stating facts "hatred"?

Kids are being raped in public swimming facilities, women are being molested/raped everywhere, terrorists are ramming trucks into large crowds or shooting up public events.

Yeah, rape existed before the mass arrivals, but it's spiked since the deluge started. All thanks to the policies of Merkel.

Hatred? Get real.

I was under the impression that Germany needed "worker bees" because of a booming manufacturing arena. Very low unemployment and an aging labor force. The Muslim refugees solve the problem./

Encourage Germans to have more kids or import people from other EU countries. Much more simplier and less chances of terrorist attacks.

Mr. Pot...please meet Mr. Kettle.
You have ZERO room to talk to anyone about hatred here on DP.
You have been spewing it since the election and beyond.

I feel it is also my duty to point out hypocrisy when it rears its ugly head.
The author of that post is one of the biggest haters here, yet feels he can lecture others on not to hate.
Complete hypocrisy.

Oh great. Now if he attacks Japan, he'll have antagonized the three biggest economies other than the US.

And at the same time has cozied up to 3rd world dictator who's nation has little we want or need. Now that is business sense.

And ended up subjecting Germans of all ages and both sexes to general criminals, perverts and terrorists.

She should be forced out of office and put on trial for destroying her country.

I'm curious about your DP name. Where'd you pick it up, exactly?

On the contrary he's one of the few rational posters here. Unblinded by the Manchurian Candidate.

I find this thread title misleading. Trump did not assault and batter the German leader. Fake news - SAD!
