Socialism/the nanny state are misguided attempts/examples of the well intentioned doing more damage than good.

By the way....

Actually being a good wife and a good mother, to put it simply, is tied being the most important job on the planet.

Who would you have be in charge of paying the stay at home mom?

The Federal government? A government that already has too much and control and influence, mostly bad, over families in this country? We already do, I am sure you are aware, have laws in place that deal with property between husbands and wives.

But...

What exactly are you suggesting? And, to juxtapose the question, was the do badder first lady compensated with a salary for all the bad influence she pushed on America?

No, it wouldn't. Why would it?

Good evidence against that claim would be to show that it's not just the politicians who are better looking, but also their supporters. That's a claim that the study didn't even attempt to make but that you and the tabloid you quoted decided to pull out of thin air anyway.


Also, it's important to note that no one has claimed right-wing voters are more concerned with looks. The claim was that they may be more likely to be influenced by physical appearance. Although that could be the result of caring more about appearance, a more likely explanation is that they place greater emphasis on certain character traits, such as "trustworthiness". We judge such character traits using our instincts and intuition, both of which are heavily influenced by appearance (we trust good looking people more than we trust ugly ones).

Character voters in general are bound to be influenced by appearance more than issues voters. It's not that they care about appearance, it's that appearance influences our judgment about people's character but has absolutely no influence on our perception of the issues. So, it could also be, not that the right-wing values certain characteristics more than the left, but that they tend to value voting for a candidate based on their character rather than voting on the candidate based on their platform.

However, thank you for admitting that Michelle Obama is a mother, also. Strange that you think she had such a bad influence on her daughters, however. Strange, and a bit creepy.

No, I actually believe good parenting to be the most important job on the planet.

Polite warning: Don't try to start trying to change my words or stating things or implying things I DID NOT STATE. I never said she was a bad influence on her daughters particularly, though I think with her lefty leanings she probably has to be. No, my assertion was the things she tried to force on the rest of us. Not a do gooder, but a do badder.

And she backed Barry, her husband, that actually DID force bad things upon us.
