This is going to be a fun eight years. My favorite quote (from the guy dressed in KKK garb) from the compilation: "You can't arrest me! I'm white! White people don't get arrested!" :lol:

I watched most of the hearing, watching Tillerson. Where did you get the word "Chaos"? There was no chaos. A few people exercising their right to free speech, proceedings halting until they're escorted out? Hardly chaos. It's either dishonest reporting or your hyperbole. I'm betting on dishonest reporting. I could be wrong.

Meh, all this same stuff and worse went down 8 years ago when Obama's nominees were confirmed but you just never heard about it because the right wing media, controlled by the Russians, buried it so that they could get Trump elected.

This was the Sessions hearing, I believe. "Chaos" is an exaggeration, no doubt, but it was a repeated disrution. This is the sort of militant behavior we see every time a Republican assumes the presidency. We saw it with Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and, most especially, with Dubya. You don't see it much from the political right. And if these loons had a First Amendment right to disrupt a confirmation hearing they wouldn't have been ejected.

That's where we disagree. They have a right to shout out in an appropriate setting. That doesn't include a Senate confirmation hearing, but then "civility" is not a word one generally finds in the leftist lexicon.

DY, the problem with doing nothing but laughing at them is that while we laugh, they are hell bound determined to get their way...at any cost...by any means.
There is a real danger. Just look at the damage done by the last 8 years. We have to do more than laugh because they will not relent until there is no dissent to their way.

I'm not saying "you" specifically, but those who associate with the right in general.

In answer to the question of whether leftist have gone off the deep end, yes, and no. Not all "leftists" have gone off the deep end.

Unfortunately, far more than I ever imagined have gone off the deep end. I'm baffled by what appears to be a psychotic reaction to Trumps victory. It's stunning, and reveals a level of psychological dependence on leaders and agenda I never thought I would witness in the United States.

Is the history of very dark times from the past repeating itself? I certainly hope not.

I hear ya, and I agree. I read an article on the silly questions the leftists on the committee were asking and I found it humorous. "Have you ever said, Lock her up," was one such ridiculous question.
