Can we all just agree Meryl Streep has only one vote like the rest of us?-

In my humble opinion, her take over of the awards on Sunday is simply a very sad event. I think a few reported as an elitist preaching to a choir of elitist. I really believe that all of us deserve more. She speaks no more for me than does me beautiful chihuahua. It's true, I have the right to believe and vote as I choose. I also believe that just as my employer should be prevented from influencing me with their power, so should an actress or celebrity. I believe this for all of us, not just those on my side. What say you? Put our differences aside and reply how you really feel. Switch sides, say she spoke out against Obama or Clinton in this theatrical event. Are you good with it?
Do you really need anyone to tell you how to feel?

Why can't you guys just let her have a different opinion?

She had her many, many moments. But her voice doesn't speak for everyone. The awards were however, meant for all!

Not sure if we are allowed to post the C word, otherwise I would post my opinion of her here.

Donald Trump has one vote just like the rest of us. Didn't stop him from using his fame and wealth to get elected to the highest office in the land.

In your own words, what do you think the point of Streep's speech was? Serious question.

Second, your opinion is always going to be influenced by other people. And what you say and do is going to influence other people in turn. People influence each other. That's just part of society. I'm not sure what you are trying to say here..

No. Do you need to tell me how to feel?

See how it works?

Um, no.
Her award was for Lifetime Achievement. It wasn't for you, or anyone else.
She earned the right to say anything she wanted.
It was her stage and she delivered.

So sorry her speech didn't merit the Eva Peron Seal of Approval.

There's a whole slew of conservative celebrities out there that has said what they wanted to say too; they're bothering me about as much as Meryl has.
