I predict something similar, but picture for a moment a movie where somebody has a person on his knees in front of a bathtub. Imagine if he has the person in front of the bathtub by the hair, and keeps dunking his head under the water, trying to get information that is never going to be had. The guy who keeps getting his head dunked will be desperate for air, and he will be ready to break his own bones if need be to get some of that life giving air. I imagine that lefties will be like the guy who keeps getting his head shoved back under the water, and they will be fighting for survival like this for the next 8 years. Eventually, their fighting will slow down as they weaken, and they will become used to the idea of having jobs and working for their own paychecks. They will eventually begin to see welfare as a safety net again, and not a way of living. By the end of 8 years, they will likely appreciate the value of having jobs instead of living off of other people's paychecks.

Actually the left is currently the guy doing the dunking. They keep trying to bully their way into the White House by way of riots (dunk) and false accusations (dunk).

Waiting for him to be sworn in, and be instantly in violation of about 15 different federal laws, and then demand impeachment from McConnell and Ryan. Meanwhile do everything possible to filibuster and block any attempts by Republicans to do anything. Bash them for the fact that they have no idea how to begin replacing the ACA......

You see it's easier to tear something down than to build it up. Trump offered no real plans of any kind. Their entire campaign was based upon hatred for Hillary and destroying what President Obama had accomplished. Now it's all on the other foot. Everything that goes wrong from here on out will be completely and 100% hung around the neck of Trump and Republicans, and there's going to be a **** load that goes wrong. There already is and he still hasn't taken office.

Its not required to "look" very hard. Every Donald tweet is cringe worthy. Yet, every morning when I turn on the news I am forced to hear the latest nonsense coming from Trump.

What will the "left" do? Point out the fake news which is fake. Point out the fake accomplishments Trump takes credit for. Watch what becomes of people who never realized that their health care made possible by "Tenncare" or the Ohio exchange is actually synonymous with "obamacare". Wonder if his supporters will still love him when they don't get their factory and coal mining jobs back. Trump can puff, boast, and wave his tiny hands but reality will intervene.
 
The Dems will turn into the "party of no." I think they will continue shameless identity politics, push racist rhetoric and slander, and cling to conspiracy theories like "Russia stole the election." They'll be propped up by the liberal elites in the media and most networks will report unfavorable news regarding president Trump.

This election exposed some on the left as small minded hate-filled people in the sense that they are bigoted against a diversity of opinion and do not lose gracefully. The Dem party's corruption in the primaries, corruption via the email hacks, and pompous attitude leading up to the election didn't resonate with many people in swing states. Rather than reform the Dem party or have many liberals looking to themselves and fixing their inner hate, I think we'll just be bombarded with crap from Buzzfeed, Trevor Noah, and the MSM while self-righteous Dems act nasty and feel justified doing so.

Part of what makes lefties so left, is that their consumption of media is limited to lefty news sources. They wake up in the morning and watch lefty news, and they think that lefty news is all that is available. If lefties would watch news that is outside of the lefty box, it would allow them to be able to differentiate between nonsense coming "from" Trump, from nonsense "about" Trump. Unfortunately for lefties, the only reference that they have to differentiate between these two things is lefty media.

Do any of you have anything substantive to say.

Personally, I typically vote Dem. Am I or any of my likeminded brethren hate filled? Where do you get this stuff? Who do you think shouted and spat at the hundreds (thousands?) of children who attempted to enter the U.S. a couple years ago? Whose supporters have perpetrated the majority of the hate crimes in the past year? Do you suppose Dylan Roof was a liberal? Of course, not all Trump supporters are bigots. The puzzlement is why so many voted for a guy who will undermine their interests in all likelihood.

I guess all that Dems can do is point out reality and facts to people who cling to fantasy and lies. I mean , 8 years of Obama and WOW,SURPRISE U.S. citizens still have their guns and Obama is, in fact (Trump admits), a U.S. citizen.

I find that people like Diane Rehms routinely provide an hour long, in depth discussion on a given topic that always includes people from Cato Institute and the Heritage foundation. You should listen to it.

It's a win win situation for Trump. He screws up, and he and his supporters blame the "liberal media" for it. Hilarious.

I don't put much stock in the fact the left are capable of learning very quickly. They have bled 1200+ seats over the last few years but continue to play the same old and tired games. You can see it happen here with the more kooker leftists.
