2016 wasn't a complete waste.

Ah, is that the newest dare propaganda going around. We need to arrest you and ruin your life because uneducated tards have never heard of CHS, which is basically an allergic reaction that's been known about for decades, it only effects the most heavy users after years of smoking...

Tobaccos equivalent illness for the required amount of usage to get it, is cancer. This is almost as ridiculous as when weed was outlawed because everyone felt it made black men lust after white women.

OIC. Every thing that is reported, even by the medical experts that is bad about pot is just propaganda. Gothcha.

Well, for starters I'm not denying CHS is an illness. I'm saying its not new, or mysterious. And the spin your putting on it, is propaganda.

You know how you avoid the dangers of chs? Don't smoke half ounce of weed everyday...

You know how you cure chs? Stop smoking weed... sypmtoms leave after three clean weeks.

You know why you die of chs? Your dumb ass doesn't tell your doctor you smoke weed for years til its legalized and they think you have vomiting cyclical sickness and treat you incorrectly. Although I've yet to hear of anyone dying from it. It would take years of misdiagnosis and an extreme reaction.

You know how many people it affects? Very very few. And they would have it legalization or no, but when it is legalized they can be properly diagnosed and not be misdiagnosed for the years required to die from it. Takes 10 years to just get it, by the way. Makes me believe these people are just now telling their doctors the truth, rather than smoking so much weed it comes out of nowhere.

And using an illness we've known about since 2004 as a new mysterious illness only affecting states its legalized in to scare states its not, is the ****ing definition of propaganda.

As an obvious proponent of recreational pot, you are far more sensitive then you need to be. Neither I or the article misrepresented anything. Nothing I said or the article pointed out is false. The point that is made stands. With the legalization of recreational pot, there will be more and more cases of CHS. as stoners will feel less and less inhibitions regarding stoning out. That is absolutely true whether you like it or not. I also expressed my opinion that it is insanely stupid for any state to legalize pot for recreational use. You are quite welcome to disagree.

So instead of legalizing, which will allow clinical studies done with marijuana that could do things like cure cancer, you want to keep it illegal because of a developed allergery 1 in 1000000 have and can cure in three weeks by quitting?

No, you want it to remain illegal so the police keep that nice big budget and the authority to seize property from those caught with it. And are looking for any excuse. This is a weak one, and only old people unable to use google will fall for it. Your side is running out of those left and right. Tick tock. Enjoy the weak minded elderly vote as long as you can.

And I'm sensitive, because we are a imprisoning and ruining people over a plant that is not at all dangerous. And in fact is known To treat over 300 illnesses better than pharmaceuticals. No wonder the drug lobby spends so much supporting drug war candidates. It's time we stopped treating people like heads of cattle in a for profit justice system. We are America, the land of freedom. Not this.

here are a couple of good things that happened to me in 2016 :

i got to hang out with one of my favorite poets, and i participated in two readings with him. i have been a fan his work since i was a little kid. met him when i was ten, and it's difficult to describe how exciting (and a bit stressful) it was to do an event with him.

i also met a cousin at one of the events. we didn't know of each other before. he is a poet, too. my family is pretty small, so this was especially cool.

i also worked my first full year at my new job, and i am running a complicated project successfully. with some help, i managed to cut the turnaround time significantly, and now this project is competitive with other assays that my company handles. i'm now training and helping new analysts as well, and i really enjoy that part of the job.

i'm looking forward to 2017, and i hope that it's a good year.

Let's add to this list. What have you got?
Great Sports year, IMO.

Peyton Manning wins Super Bowl and retires.

Cavs and Cubs win titles, ending long droughts, with both teams coming back from being down 3 games to 1 in the final round.

Sid Crosby and the Penguins win the Cup.

That NASCAR guy (Jimmy Johnson) tied Dale's record for most consecutive Winston Cup wins.

Serena nabs another Wimbledon Title and finished 2nd in the Australian and French Opens, cementing her legacy as perhaps the greatest female tennis player of all time.

Four different people won the Golf Majors, all were first time winners.

Return to relevance of the Raiders and Cowboys in the NFL, maybe the Giants too.

Honorable mention to the Cleveland Indians for reaching the World Series.
