Like a broken clock, I guess, the Dumpster is putting together a strategy to combat Chinese outsourcing which actually sounds reasonable.

Trump forms White House Trade Council to stop 'exodus of jobs' - Dec. 21, 2016

"Help defend America and protect your family: Don't buy Made in China," Navarro says in the film.

Trump is putting Navarro in charge of a new "Buy America, Hire America" program that will impact everything from "infrastructure to national defense."

...Navarro and Ross argue that Trump can get America growing again and balance the budget by doing these three things:
1. Cut government regulations by 10% (details weren't given on which regulations)
2. Eliminate America's $500 billion trade deficit (by renegotiating deals)
3. Expand U.S. energy production (by allowing more drilling and more coal burning)

The Buy American campaign has been done before - but I see nothing wrong with reiterating this point. it might help.

Cutting government regulations is great.

But the rest seems naive. He keeps talking about re-negotiating trade deals, but gives no details how. Is his force of will supposed to make the Chinese cower in fear? Fat chance.

Expanding energy production. Fine...but I am not for destroying the environment just for more, (temporary) energy self sufficiency.

Overall, seems like no big deal to me. And as usual with Trump, he is big on boasting and small on details.

Just curious? Will we ever see his tax returns that he has promised for SOOOO long? I am guessing now that he has won the election - no.

Once again, I am neither Dem nor Rep.

You want a solid foreign trade policy? Fine. I have one: we put one simple policy as law and follow it - whatever a foreign nations policy is towards the US on trade - that becomes our policy with them.

Bumper sticker level idea, no details. What regulations? Why? How do we determine which regulations aren't necessary? It would be like deciding to eliminate 10% of all of the traffic lights in a town without any determination as to which ones may be unnecessary.

Yet another Trump bumper sticker. Details? Negotiate with whom? Meaningless.

Are we not allowing enough drilling and coal burning? Are we to ignore the fact that natural gas is cheaper than coal? Should we subsidize coal then? Where do we drill? Is the world price of oil any sort of a factor in this at all?

Trump has no ideas. All he has is platitudes.

To accomplish that, we have to have a President with balls.

Hmmm maybe she can start with having folks not buy trump products since trump loves to send jobs overseas for his products.

You mean like Apple, and a plethora of other lib companies?

Well, if his minions follow along, beginning next month, at least 62,979,636 people should be buying American.

Regulations are probably overly cumbersome, with red tape probably clogging up more works than actually protecting anyone or thing.

Energy should be interesting. We already have more natural gas than we know what to do with. So, why anyone thinks mining more coal would make sense beats the hell out of me. But, it doesn't hurt to work with it and nat gas to make more synthetic oil, not that I see any cost-effectiveness there. But, it could help to take us off Saudi Oil. It is never good to be addicted to Saudi Oil.

Trade deals: I cannot imagine any trade deal is not favorable to America already. So, I suspect this is just rhetoric.

No. Trump will never disclose his financials.
