The president of the national Fraternal Order of Police, the country’s largest police organization, on Tuesday asked Walmart to stop selling t-shirts and sweatshirts which say “Black Lives Matter” and “Bulletproof” on the department store’s website.

Jim Pasco, the executive director of the police union in Washington, said the issue was raised by union members who felt Walmart was selling anti-police items. “There are a lot of people who feel too many guns are sold,” Pasco said. “Why not speak out against things that might be seen as fomenting violence, rather than things that commit violence?”

I think the Police reps have a point, but it's Walmart after all. There's a website called 'People of Walmart' for a reason.

Walmart isnt selling the shirt its 3rd party vendors on the walmart.com website

the merchandise is actually being sold by Old Glory Merchandise, a music and entertainment apparel dealer out of Connecticut.

Actually they aren't it clearly shows on the website it is a 3rd party selling them on the website and I'm sure the police want the "blue lives matter" shirts stopped also being sold by the same 3rd party selling the BLM ones...

I get a bunch of calls from morons who don't understand what a 3rd party seller is all the time so it's not surprising this mistake often ends up in the media

I'm aware of that. Walmart has changed their website to rival Amazon, contacting with 3rd party vendors. Amazon is flush with counterfeiters. If the Fraternal Order of Police really want to knee Walmart where it hurts, they should investigate whether Walmart is allowing these same counterfeiters to operate under their brand name.

Not as lame as Black Lives Matters, a group that chases rare cases of police brutality, while ignoring the reality of brutality that exists as a way of life in their own communities. Blazow.

I frankly think it's a distinction without a difference. WalMart controls what's on their website. That's the only thing that matters.

I don't have a problem with FOP's request. I also don't much care if WalMart honors it. I'm guessing it's just their union trying to be relevant.

I agree. BLM's sole mission is anti-cop and they should be shoved into the darkness of society.

Police ask Walmart to stop selling shirts that ask police not to shoot to black people?

I suppose it plays to a demographic that doesn't see it as playing to a demographic...

That's not what the BLM logo stands for. Black Lives Matter proposes that black people who are killed by police are more important than others.

You've heard of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Philando Castille, Eric Garner, etc, etc. Now how many white victims of police shootings can you name?

More whites are shot and killed per year by police than blacks.
