That Trump is a spectacular liar we all know. One of his best is his claim of winning the election in a "landslide". In fact, of the 56 Presidential elections that have been held, only ten were closer in the Electoral College than his, and 45 were decided by wider margins. Doesn't matter, though. He keeps telling the same lie. Meanwhile, Hillary's popular vote total has risen above Trump's by more than 2.8 million votes

If we're lucky, we won't even have to wait for weeks to count those CA votes next election. They could be electing their own prez.

You are right that it does not matter, Trump is going to do or at least try to do what he came to town to do regardless of what labels are placed in his win. THis win was cataclysmic to the agenda of the elite class whether it was a landslide or not, something that his enemies best get onto understanding. We elected Obama because we wanted change...that failed. Now we have elected Trump...if this too fails then the next step might just be someone like Putin, or Hitler. The American people will keep escalating till something works.

It's so 'cataclysmic' to the elite class, that he's populating his administration exclusively with....wait for it.....ELITES!

"The American People"? If the American people chose anyone, they chose Hillary.

He lied big time to get this far - why would he stop now?

Why would you be surprised that they replaced the endless stream of I HATE OBAMA threads we were all subjected to for 8 years?

Obviously, whether Trump wants to admit it or not, he didn't win by a landslide. But he still beat Hillary pretty damn good in the EC. Concerning the popular vote, Trump got around the same amount of votes that Romney and McCain received, so he did pretty much average for a GOP candidate.

But the fact that Hillary Clinton still couldn't pull off a win is just priceless. :lamo

Thanks for conceding the point and admitting to Trump's utter and complete hypocrisy.

Sorry you were suckered by him.

I think the problem is rather that you dont understand how power works.

I also think that you never understood Trump, I listened to a rally I think it was March, I did a little livestreaming here at DP, I said then that he was trying to cut a deal with the elite, using the power of the people as a tool to get them to agree to a deal, for the good of America. I dont feel like Trump lied to me, I feel like Trump is the first person in a long time down the pike who is willing to tell me the truth.

EDIT: It was JAN

From Trumps rich friends....He is making zero apologizes for wealth, he is equating ability to put together wealth with smarts. And he is making that case that he is going to put that smarts to work for America, and he is attempting to bring the rich along in a coalition, he is saying that he is going to take care of them but that they need to pull their weight. Tough needle to thread given how well the wealthy have done compared to the rest of us , and since they have for so long resisted doing their share, but if anyone can sell it Trump can.

Trump right in front of our eyes is trying to make a deal to end the class war.

Pure. Brilliance.

Thanks, I know exactly how it works. It's how I know you've been suckered and sold a bill of goods, and you don't even know it.

Oh, I understand him just fine. He's a pathological narcissist and a sideshow barker who's suckered the rubes into believing what he's already gone back on.

Yeah, as much as I don't like Trump at all, I definitely have to chuckle once in a while when I consider just who the assclown actually beat.

Trump's a blowhard and this wasn't a landslide by any stretch. But he certainly stuck it to her in the EC. I'll bet she's been taking her anger out on poor Bill!

Just because people act with utter negligence thrice doesn't mean they couldn't get it right in four years.

If only Hillary had Bill's charisma. Maybe she would've won.

Greetings, faithful_servant. :2wave:

I'd be disappointed if they stopped, because that would be totally out of character - and that fact would make me wonder what the new approach might be!

The EC was 306 to 232.
that is a difference of 74 electoral votes. yea that is a pretty big margin of victory.
although Reagan I do believe had the widest margin of victory of any modern president.

popular vote is well meaningless.

the EC is the only thing that matters and in that he did win by a good margin.

she would need a lot more than that like ethics or morals or something similar.
not calling almost half the voters out there deplorable. that would have been a good start.

Well that was a big mistake on her part. Basing her entire campaign around identity politics didn't help much either.

honestly you democrats would have been better off with sanders. at least he had a platform. it was a flawed platform but at least he had one.
Hillary had the same ol same ol that we have heard nothing new nothing big picture.

Trump had a wide platform. very wide. very high level. it was a platform though.
what can hurt trump not being able to get what he wants done. he has a very massive thing to accomplish and frankly he is going to
get stalled out on some of this stuff in congress.

this is where he is going to use the people around him to get things done or at least try to.

the thing about trump is that he gave people a vision. something that Clinton failed to do.

I am really disappointed in you, you are usually more with it....when the bosses start ignoring huge chunks of the people, take the stance that they will wait the "deplorables" out, wait for them to die rather than listen to them and deal with what they hear Obama/Trump or worse is what will happen every time if the people still have the vote... which we do.

You are found on the wrong side of history here.

We should've had Bernie, but the DNC said we can't have none of that. We have to roll with the Anointed Queen that Nobody Likes!
