GOP Picks Up Another Senate Seat In Louisiana Runoff Election | The Huffington Post

sort of surprised this didn't get more press

Kennedy, the state treasurer, and Campbell, a public service commissioner, advanced to the runoff election after none of the 23 candidates who ran in November won a majority of the vote. Under the state’s rules, if no candidate wins a majority of the vote, the top two candidates enter a runoff election.
The race had far-reaching implications in Washington, D.C. Republicans won control of the Senate last month with a razor thin margin. By picking off a seat in Louisiana, Democrats had hoped to deny the GOP its 52nd vote in the upper chamber and possibly block portions of President-elect Donald Trump’s agenda in the capitol. A closer margin also would have threatened some of his more controversial Cabinet picks, which are subject to confirmation by the Senate.

I don't think it was much of a surprise. The polling said it wouldn't be competitive, the DNC offered no aid to the Dem, Trump and Pence came out and held rallies for the Rep. in an area that went heavily for Trump. I think it was essentially a foregone conclusion. I went and voted because of other races, but if it was only that senate race I would have stayed home.

Don't get to happy, we all know that the Russian's rigged this one too.....;p

I hope Trump stops the illegal voting.

I'm quite confident Hillary got one heck of a boost from illegal votes.

It'll eventually come to light. After the Dictator is ousted in January and we get a real President again.

I heard that there were over 19,450,000,000 votes cast by illegals!

It didn't get more press because it isn't what the press was hoping for, and doesn't fit into the "Hey, look at how Russia and Putin elected Trump" mantra that they're all bitching about. Or, maybe not. I could be wrong.

However, the little bit that I've seen of the guy, makes him look like he's a bit strange. I may be wrong about that as well.

And yet you continue to rely on the liberal media for your hearse.......

The definition of insanity...listening to the same leftist media sources and expecting an honest or truthful outcome

Course, you could always pull a Jill Stein and dupe Demmies into giving up a small fortune for another recount with you as the beneficiary

A. You have no idea what media I access.
B. You believe in fairy tales: there is no liberal media.

LOL! Says the magical thinker who believes in fairy tales.

You should try reality someday. It might scare you, but you might come to like it.
