NBC4’s story is just the latest positive one about Hawkins, who has also been profiled by NPR, Metro Weekly and other outlets.

But a new report by local D.C. station Fox 5 shows another, more disturbing side of Hawkins that hasn’t appeared in profiles. According to the report, Hawkins has repeatedly landed in hot water because of his conduct around interns for D.C.’s police department.

“Sgt. Hawkins showed the interns a ‘homemade video of her having sex with 4 men while she was intoxicated,'” Fox’s report says.

This was already posted in another thread today, but I will address this once more.

There are bad people who do bad things in every group and demographic. Transgenders are no different. But painting the entire group with the same broad brush because of the behavior of this trans woman is an extremely ignorant thing to do.

I don't like it when people take the actions of a small minority within a group, and then try to dishonestly apply it to the entirety of that demographic.

And really? "Societal collapse"? Spare me of your ignorance.

that's just REALLY stupid. one of my best friends was born a man. Now she is a woman. She is much happier now. Why is her being happy a "horrible prevision"?

You cannot judge an entire group by the actions of any individual.

Just as all white people aren't bigoted racists; all black people aren't criminals; all Asians aren't geniuses, etc.

The original story states:

Sgt Hawkins' bad judgement allowed her to, "take interns assigned to her unit out drinking with other MPD officers." At Freddie’s a well-known LGBT bar in Arlington. The summer interns were both under the age of 21. One of them admitted to having a fake ID and showing it to Sgt. Hawkins who laughed at it.

So they were under the age of 21, but the report does not state that they were minors, simply that they were under the legal age to enter a bar serving alcohol.

Now you are certainly entitled to your opinion about both this individual, and even the class/group she belongs to.

If "she" had sex with 4 men, I do not see any of that as being a sign of a "pervert". If they were all consensual adults and all know what they were doing, that is their business.
Showing a video of it at work, whoever, would be the issue. No matter what kind of sex was involved.
Even if it was all male homosexual sex, is still not the issue.
Showing a home movie of it is.

What is "perverted" is highly subjective. As a fleet First-Class Sailor, I have no doubt some of the dirty, filthy, disgusting, and thoroughly enjoyable things I did with women the world over might also raise a brow or two. I have learned it is best to not peep through someone else's bedroom keyhole.

You actually don't know, nor have you had any discussions with a trans person have you? You just read absurd stories on the internet and see pictures, probably of drag queens doing drag and think "That's what a transgender is!"

Most likely they would assume it was a female. A transgender male would be a FTM person. Your point being? No one is arguing that it is possible to change ones physical sex, I, as a MTF woman, know and will be for the foreseeable future, male in terms of bone structure, height, overall muscles and dna male. However it's also true that my mind, body and soul are not in congruence. So I am working within the limiting confines of modern science to make the three match. The most successful and reliable method for this, is through extensive therapy under a competent professional, combined with homrone therapy administered by a MD to alter my physical traits as much as possible from Male to Female. The end game is not necessarily surgery however that is my goal, adding in legal acknowledgment (Feb 17) I will be as female as I can be.

This, makes me happy, my wife who has known from our second date fully supports me, my son is proud of me. I will seek personal contentment an happiness.

My question to you is, WHY is that so bad in your eyes?
