Trump Is Totally Ignorant Of The Constitution

I'm pretty sure Trumps twitter comments were of the "red meat for the masses" style and not a serious policy proposal. You know, like all that "hope and change" that came from Obama. Lighten up Francis.

OH.

So, what you're saying is he's speaking in a kind of code only "his followers" know about, and the rest of the world should just forget what he's said about Mexicans, Muslims and MILFS.

He's going to be entertaining and I know too a lot of people who were sure he was just giving red meat to the masses are going top be gape-faced frightened in not too long a time. His "swalowers are going to be very surprised.

"What he really meant was "not clear" not Nuclear....oops

Actually, I was pointing it out that trump was making it clear that everyone who voted for him, who thought they knew what they were getting, have pretty much no idea what they are actually going to get. And Trump proves that every day as he makes up what he's doing on the spot. And I'm still right so far.

Now you are going to pretend you know what people were thinking when they voted for trump. You sir, are waaayyyy out there in pretend la-la land.
Actually when you approach things rationally instead of going into non-stop hissy fits you'd know that there'd never be a wall but that his talk about the wall was an inspiration for the fact that we've done nothing for so long.

If you stopped to think rationally for a few seconds you'd know that it'll be a cold day in hell before flag burning is ruled unconstitutional but that Trump's tweet represents the insult for some of those who don't like it.

I hope you have blood pressure meds because this constant outrage isn't healthy for your nerves.

Bull****.

If you can't take the President at his word, he's full of it.

Trump's minions have let him take license until he is not accountable for his words or actions. He's conditioned them to accept whatever line of crap he feeds them, and has made himself unaccountable (to them).

They've been played, but the rest of the country is not so niave. So whatever you (or him) are selling, I'm not buying it.

I think you can take that conditioning of supporters to any president. They are usually the blind supporters who put party above all.

Look at all the stupid **** Bidden has said over the years and has been downplayed and dismissed.

With all that said it doesn't give Trump a pass. A reporter should ask if Trump plans to make it a crime. If so than I will protest if no we can move on to next exaggerated outrage.

How am I being played? I said from the beginning that there would never be a wall and lo and behold there's not gonna be a wall.

I said from the beginning that there's never going to be a full repeal of the ACA and lo and behold there's not gonna be. The only people being taken for a ride are the people who are constantly looking to be outraged by every small thing he says. Get ready for an emotional rollercoaster because the only people being taken for a ride are the people like you.

How can Trump make it a crime? It's the legislature that passes laws. WHOOPS!!!!! MAYBE THE HATERS SHOULD STOP LOOKING TO BE OUTRAGED and stop to think for just 2 seconds.

What you are basically saying here is, that YOU yourself, the big-time trump supporter, can never take trumps word. "Oh when trump said he will build a big beautiful wall, he didn't really mean it." You are so die-hard behind this guy and yet you can't even put forth what to believe. You are actually in here all proud to say that you don't believe what he's saying... and you are still behind him 100%. Not only does this make absolutely no sense, it begs to question... WTF kind of world are you living in?

I live in a world when I say "hmm there are something like 30 bureaucracies in the feds that would be involved in building a wall: not including state bureacrats and private landowners. There's never going to be a wall.

Y'know, common sense.

reinoe, if you want a President that talks **** all the time, flips & flops by the moment, can't control his anger, and his word cannot be taken seriously - you've got your wish.

But others may not desire these qualities in their President, and I think that's a reasonable position for those of us that disagree with him as a Presidential choice.

I would never voluntarily associate with an individual like this IRL, that's for sure! :doh

If you don't think he will do anyting he said he will, why the hell would you even consider voting for him? You are making absolutely no sense. What was your actual reason for voting FOR trump?

If you can't answer that, then you have no ground to stand on when preaching "common sense".

Trump is clueless about the Constitution. How many Republicans can and will defend his total non-understanding of the fact that the American flag actually stands for the “right to burn the flag?” Why is he clueless that our military fights to defend the right to burn the flag?

Trump is trolling you, and you're falling for it. His supporters will tell you he doesn't mean it. He's just blowing smoke up your rear.

Besides which, Hillary proposed the same thing -- a legal ban on flag burning -- in 2005. I'm sure you guys jumped all over her for that, right?

Meanwhile, left wingers are suddenly strong supporters of the First Amendment for a change, and they are being critical of a policy that Hillary supported! That's Trump magic for you.

Which presidents have we been able to take at their word? LBJ? No. Carter? No. Reagan? Mmmm..., JHW Bush? No. Clinton? No. Obama? Hell no. JW Bush? I'm sure you'd say no.

Hardly seems disqualifying for Trump, then.

Were you able to take Obama's word? Would you have been able to take Hillary's word? What kind of fantasy world is it where all the politicians are honest, straight dealers?

I mean to say, Hillary told lie after lie, mostly stupid, self-serving lies, and her supporters didn't bat an eye, but now all of a sudden it's a big problem for a politician to fib.

I suppose we can put that in the same category of phenomena as The Left’s Miraculous Change of Heart on Accepting Election Results: Democrats were completely against questioning results when they assumed Clinton would win.

You know, there's some truth in that, but only to a matter of degree.

But I haven't seen many people talk bull**** & flip at the moment's notice like Trump - much less a President!

I see him as a bridge too far ...

I live in a world of "what's the likelyhood of that being true".

There was 0 chance there would be a wall. A Republican congress wouldn't approve because it's too big of a cost and is bad for their corporate backers. A Democratic Congress wouldn't fund it because they love illegal immigrants and it would be bad for their corporate backers.

There was 0 way it would get funded. I'm sorry that you've lost all ability to even rationally say "is this even possible". If you have to work this hard to justify your outrage then I say adieu to this convo.

I am not convinced he has any foundational understanding of the constitution.

It's also interesting that these constitution-ignoring policies serve as "red meat for the masses" in that view.

Hey, he's your guy.

You'll have to take it up with him.

I'm just reporting what he claims.

Still haven't identified why you voted FOR or even support Donald Trump. And apparently its much easier for you to run away than it is to answer that simple question. Not a surprise here at all. I doubt I can find a handful of trump supporters that ever could in here so I'm sure where ever you run away to, you'll have lots of company hiding there with you.

We can't let that musty old piece of paper stop the latest fundamental transformation of America effort. ;)

My goodness, you sound like George W. Bush.

Our elected officials have fairly well razed the US Constitution, what with USA Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act and other legislation nullifying Habeas Corpus.

Trump is just dancing to their tune.

Its freedom of speech written word! Not freedom to destory something!

If i go out in street stop traffic and set fire to my pillow...i should be arrested

You know not that actions are expressions and thereby speech? You know not that you have the freedom to destroy what belongs to you? If you go out in traffic and set fire to your pillow you likely could be ARRESTED for violating a local ordinance concerning air pollution and or reckless endangerment for starting a fire in a public place. The President elect and the federal government has no business akin to local ordinances. If Trump would have qualified his position as a local ordinance authority, this thread would have never been started.

What's fun is Clinton sponsored a bill to criminalize flag burning too.

This was gonna be something the President believed in barring a third party winning, sadly. Most people voted for these two ****ty major party candidates in the primary, and this is the result.

For my part, the day they make flag burning illegal is the day I burn one.

Damn, I wish I had a buck for every time a Trumpanzee has posted here to explain what the Donald really meant when he said something stupid.

So, uh, what's Trump said that we can believe? Anything?

Then he doesn't mean to appoint a Scalia type constitutional originalist to the Court? He's just blowing smoke up our asses? He's just kidding about everything, right?

You guys? Who's that? I call out every politician's constitutional violation or proposed violation.

Meanwhile, left wingers are suddenly strong supporters of the First Amendment for a change, and they are being critical of a policy that Hillary supported! That's Trump magic for you.

So the Trump "magic" is proposing constitutional violations to blow smoke up the left's asses, right? Interesting! Why would the Constitution's BIGGEST violator give a flying damn about violating the Constitution?
