Der Dumbpster is not just (as of today) 2.4 million votes behind Clinton .....[W:37]

Re: Der Dumbpster is not just (as of today) 2.4 million votes behind Clinton .....

What's this? You don't expect him to deliver on all his scummy promises? Why did you vote for someone whom you didn't trust in the first place?

I expect Trump will enrage you. He hasn't done anything yet as president, and you've already gone over the edge.

Re: Der Dumbpster is not just (as of today) 2.4 million votes behind Clinton .....

but and additional 7.4 million people voted for someone else, too. So nearly 10 million more citizens of this country wanted someone else beside Der Dumbpster to be their leader. Let's recall what happened the last time the EC chose the president instead of the people: The Bush Catastrophe: a failed war with resulting massively increased instability of the Middle East and the second worst economic disaster in our entire history. Der Dumbpster and his pack of racist, bigoted thugs makes Bush/Cheney look like toddlers when it comes to horrible policies and rhetoric. It's just a marvel why some people are determined to repeat failure after failure with these scumbags.

So many words to say that the demorats nominated a losing POTUS candidate again. Maybe you will do better next time.

Sometimes ya gotta thin the herd and if they do it themselves that's even better.

Re: Der Dumbpster is not just (as of today) 2.4 million votes behind Clinton .....

The "national popular vote" IS imaginary...and it has NEVER elected a President of the US. Ever. Our President has ALWAYS been selected by the Electoral College or another provision included in the Constitution. Your imaginary national popular vote is not included in the Constitution.

(and you accuse ME of confusing reality and fantasy??? )

Then why does it bother you and your Dumbpster so much to have the fact that 10 million (and counting) more people in this country wanted someone else beside him to be president? You wouldn't be making these ridiculous claims about the "imaginary" popular vote if it didn't. In fact, the popular vote and the EC have been in sync in all but 5 elections in this country's history and 2 of those have now happened in just the last 16 years---both with devastating results (one historical and the other inevitable). At least 2 of the other three also resulted in pitiful results. Rutherford B. Hayes secured his office by agreeing to end the presence of federal troops in the South which paved the way for the Jim Crow era, remnants of which are still evident and not just the South now.

America was the loser in 2000 and will be again this time.

What relevance does that have to our system of electing a president? I mean, you know, besides nothing.

shrug...

I don't know why it bothers Trump...or, even, that it does. But it doesn't bother me. I am quite content to have faith in our Constitution. I've made no claims about the national popular election...except that it doesn't exist. And it doesn't.

The more important question is...since this is your thread...why does it matter to you? Why are you going through such gyrations to question Trump's win? Could it be you are so hateful of Trump...so angry at the American people...so utterly devastated that Hillary lost...that you would destroy our country to make her President? That you would deny the bedrock of our nation? That you would disregard our very Constitution to find some justification to make her President?

Do you even realize how very pathetic that is?

It would be a waste of my time to address each of the of the inaccurate statements in the OP. I’m also getting a chuckle with the use of rhetoric while whining there was to much of it directed towards the (D) candidate.

Lets look at a few things shall we, Johnson and Steins got about 5 million votes combined. We now know that Jill Steins is just a proxy hack for HRC to attract a few nuckelheads that fell for Bernie's BS. What’s sad is that she pulled 1.2 million votes, what a waste, they were pawns all along.

Let’s not dismiss this fact, if you went county by county, state by state and really looked at ballots there would be millions of false votes on the (D) side. That nonsense has been going on for decades with local, state and presidential elections. If there was a real accounting Trump walked away with both the popular vote and electoral collage vote.

Wow, that's as helluva load of rationalization for ignoring the simple truth that no matter who else they voted for the American people didn't want Trump by 10 million people. But it's fun seeing you twist yourself in knots doing it.

I know I can't change the failure-worshiping mentality on your side but that doesn't mean I can't showcase it.

What relevance does that have to our system of electing a president? I mean, you know, besides nothing.

It means just what it says: When the EC overrides the will of the majority this country gets royally f***ed.

Re: Der Dumbpster is not just (as of today) 2.4 million votes behind Clinton .....

Why, your boy, of course. Der Dumbpster--a human trash repository.

As I joke with my GOP friends, "and to the republicans for which it stands".

We are a republic, not a democracy--this is the 4th time of 49 popular elections that DEMs have won the PV but lost the POTUS--never to the GOP.

Be glad that there is a 17th amendment passed in the "progressive era" that elects Senators by popular vote and made us more of a Democracy.

Otherwise the GOP would have close to 70 Senators right now .

Eh...what? Now you are counting people that voted for someone else besides Hillary as Hillary votes as well? That...doesn't even make sense...

Of course, there's a movement to repeal the 17th by the same people who think the EC is some kind of holy grail. Laughingly enough, the founders thought the EC would be a hedge against partisanship (they called it "faction") and it's become just the opposite. The original intent is that electors would be immune to the political pressures and picked from the "best and smartest" people (y'know the slave owners, etc, of the South) who would keep the country from putting just the kind of tin-pot, demagoguing, lying, hate-spewer, kakistocrat it's going to make president. So it was originally envisioned as the elitist solution possible to democracy run amok. The EC has been a partisan tool ever since it was first applied in the 1824 election. The results of the presidency that followed the next 4 uses of it have been uniformly poor and the last two particularly worse.

Of course, it wouldn't make sense to someone who doesn't want to recognize how many voters there are in this country who didn't want Trump.

Wrong, the EC is not about "the will of the majority". It was designed that way, and works well.

As far as "this country gets royally ****ed", no, we dodged the Hillary bullet yet again. Thank God. You'd have thought the Dems would be smarter than to run a two (now three) time loser.

So...you've given up on your failed attempts to present facts and logic and now devolve to insults.

I suggest you be careful with that.

Yes, I get that the liberal safe place has become trash filled and dripping wet with tears. I also get, that safety/diaper pin as a sign of solidarity is rusting. In a sense you are asking to ignore election laws and the constitution to bring the most horrid and corrupt person imaginable into the oval office because of partisanship.

As I pointed out, your math doesn’t work regardless of how many spin cycles you run it thru. In reality, all of this nonsense is just a political move, one to muddy the waters of transition and beyond.

But lets go with your hero, HRC, what was she saying about excepting election results?
