President Trump appoints a special prosecutor.
He promised his constituents. It will alienate Democrats at a time when I think the President's goal is to unite us.

President Trump changes his mind...no special prosecutor.
His supporters feel betrayed.

President Obama pre-emptively pardons her.

The party probably owes her that, but it will alienate Dems and Reps alike.

I'm afraid that recent events have called my clairvoyance into question.

Trump I am pretty sure will decide that losing is punishment enough, and while Obama is dog food in history because of his incompetence, laziness, prickishness and overall poor judgement somehow I dont think he will be bad enough to pardon Clinton Corp.

Trump is not going to go after her. He was just playing to the crowd. You don't say the great things about Hillary he said in his victory speech and then turn around and prosecute her.

That said, when it comes to Trump I have been wrong more often than I have been right.

There's nothing to pardon.

Trump will do nothing. Her speeches are now half-price and maybe she can finally retire some of those awful pantsuits.

Hillary's fine.

The presidential election humiliation will be her punishment to live with.

Nobody will go after her........ my opinion only.

If they did, Trump will pardon her...............my opinion only.

I see it going down as her public service efforts outweighing her possible violations of law. A whitewash that most Americans will pessimistically agree with just to see her out of the picture.

Now that the Clinton's future in politics is officially over, so is their ability to sell influence. They're finished no matter what happens.

I don't think he'll appoint a special prosecutor.

The evidence that is currently under review will compel the FBI to recommend prosecution. The case will then go to DOJ. DOJ will call a Grand Jury. They Grand Jury will indict. A court of her peers will find her, Bill, Chelsea, et al., et ux, guilty as charged and sentence them to prison.

If Trump tampered with the case, he would be as duplicitous as Obama, Holder, Lynch, and Comey.

We are a Nation of laws, not men. Justice is blind. What will be, will be.

I'm with you on Trump doing nothing. But I think I'd be tempted to make some political hay out of that decision.

In the interest of bringing our country closer together instead of driving it further apart, I have decided to forego a special prosecutor to further investigate Hillary Clinton at this time. I sincerely believe it is the right thing to do for our nation.

PS...The pant suits. Ugliest outfits I ever saw. Lordy.

Interesting take, Quazi. Hadn't thought of it quite that way.

I would not expect you to think of that way, but then again you do not have the same programing.

I think any prosecution for the emails is off the table. But if the FBI turs up corruption at the Foundation, the Trump justice department will pursue it. I don't think he wants to prosecute her at this point, but he may have no choice.

Why would Trump go after the woman whom hes has donated over a hundred thousand dollars to her senate race and "charity" and has had her show up to his wedding? So I say he won't go after her.

It would be a huge mistake, in my view, for President Trump and anyone in Congress to keep Hillary and Bill Clinton in the news. Those two are boils on the county's behind and will fester if touched going forward. The last thing the new President and a favourable Congress for at least 2 years needs is a political distraction. Don't be Obama in his first two years. Don't gloat that you won the election. Don't tell others "I'm the President". Just get on with the business of making the lives of Americans better through better, but less government, and President Trump and Congress can enjoy a good, long run. Play politics as politics has been played the past 16 years and the public will churn you up and spit you out next chance they get.

I voted other, trump will likely do something, but given the trumps and the clintons have been close friends since ever, he will balance between justice for his people and not going to jail for his friends.

It will be a dog and pony show. Hillary will probably be indicted, and convicted, but end up with a few months house arrest at best, which will show trumps constituents he means business, while keeping his old friend out of jail.

I really hope he doesn't. It wouldn't be in his best interest to go after her, IMO.

Now if we could only disappear Obama like the Clinton's....He who was going to stick around and mentor Clinton tending to his legacy (because with this prick everything boils down to being about him), which is now gone because he never did anything the slow steady correct way, he did things by way of Presidential order, which means that the next President (TRUMP!) can end the legacy by simply countermanding the Obama orders...or shoddy workmanship(ObamaCare), which means that we need to go back in for at the min massive structure changes and maybe we just bulldoze it.

Please, Please, can the Obama's disappear themselves?

Maybe go run University of Chicago or some sleepy IVY?

Trump might not go after Hillary.......but I wouldn't put it past Ghouliani to go after her if he's appointed AG.

Liberals are going to have to get a lot of tougher to fight what might be coming from a Trump administration.

I really have no desire to see a former president or first lady be put in jail. If there is criminal activities going on at the foundation they must put a stop to it. If the clintons refuse to stop than there may be no choice but drag the country through a trial and prosecution.

I've been saying for years, unfortunately, that Obama will be the new Jimmy Carter - a failed President who will live forever and have a critical opinion on every little thing each and every President who follows him does. Obama will spend the rest of his life trying to convince the future that he wasn't the worst President ever and that he sure isn't as bad as the current President, whomever those current and future Presidents may be. Let's see if he becomes as bitter as he ages as Carter did. I'd fall down dead of shock if Obama pulls a GW and leaves the political arena for good.

Breaking: Trump on pledge to appoint special prosecutor to investigate Clintons: "I don't want to hurt them. They're good people."
