Don't Give Trump So Much Credit, America

In a short term kind of way that is probably right. Long term that is probably not right in many ways and for many reasons. Take a change in the law that allows us to divorce without complication. The number of single parent households increases. indipendent of whether this is good or bad, it changes so many things so deeply that yes, the parent is important but a creature of a social structure that would be totally different had someone else made the decisions back then. Presidents shape society. Society shapes parents. Parents shape children. All this consecutive shaping takes a long time.
