I found the protests to be nothing short of disturbing and pathetic.

And I'm as anti-Trump as they come.

They might be that if their candidate got crushed in the vote, but they're candidate won the vote but lost anyway to someone who actually is disturbing and pathetic.

I want to amend that. Nothing is ever disturbing and pathetic about Americans peacefully protesting in the streets their for their political beliefs, as they've done since the nation was founded.

So maybe you are the one who can explain what they want now>

Their candidate didn't "win the vote." There is no "vote."

As for the amalgamation of state total votes which is erroneously and misleadingly called "the popular vote," everyone who repeats the mantra that Hillary "won" it has no idea what the totals are.

Hillary is ahead in the current count by less than 3 tenths of 1 percent. As in, within the margin of error. Which means, it cannot be said with 100% certainty that she actually had more votes.

The protesters/rioters want you to bent the knee to their will. The people of the country have spoken and duly elected DJT. Apparently leftists have a problem with our republic and its laws.

How do you unite with leftists like this?

Nonsense, protesting the results is disturbing and pathetic through and through.

Feel free to play apologist though.

Did you ever peacefully protest Mt St Helens eruption? Or that Sun rises from the East?

If you did, what was the outcome?

Sitting in the middle of Interstates is not peaceful protest.

and in some states-where the margin is more than the uncounted provisional votes or absentee votes, those are often not counted since it won't make any difference.

no and if someone gets run over-they should be cited for causing damage to the car. Your right to protest does not mean you have a right to inconvenience others or impede their right to travel. Scumbags blocking traffic need to be jailed and Fined big bucks

Sounds just like Matthews, and he is right of course.

If these people dont agree to abide by our elections are they worth listening too?

I say no, I say that they are so radical, that they are so opposed to the rule of law and the concept of playing by rules that they are dead to me.

Note to MODS: "Dead to me" is a figure of speech, I think it may have started with the Sicilians but IDK..... I am NOT advocating physical harm to come to ANYONE.

In which of your alternate universes is this peaceful protest?

The vote for President happens in December. We voted for voters. A recount of popular vote will not occur as it doesn't matter.

Assuming the electoral votes as required. We have a done deal.

Not counting absentee votes because it won't change the results of an election is an old wives tale in the state where I reside. Absentee ballots are counted before the election and included with the same day election results.

You might have done better had you first considered what a political protest is and how it differs from acts of nature.

When they bring baseball bats and come to destroy property, they are no longer protesting. That's called rioting, and it's against the law. THAT IS DISTURBING AND PATHETIC. You might want to make a purposeful distinction.

MSNBC's Chris Matthews reacts to people protesting the election of Donald Trump to the presidency.

"I'm always open to the economic argument," Matthews said on the Thursday broadcast of his show Hardball. "I do accept that Marxist tradition, really, which is a good one which is always try to explain elections by economics. And I think it always works."
I don't think Chris would argue with any Marxist tradition. Why are they protesting? Because they are cry babies who cannot accept an election if it doesn't go their way. Soon we'll see people protesting if they don't get their Amazon package on time, or if they can't get a table at their favorite restaurant. The protests are getting silly and I hope they DO protest everything and anything - that is the fastest way we can all get sick and tired of it and start to ignore them.

I did make that distinction.

What's disturbing are Trump-like mindsets that find their protests "disturbing".

If this happened to Obama 8 years ago, the left would be calling everyone "racists". Because Democrats are crying about it, the defense of the cry babies comes forward. Protesters need to grow up.

You might have done better had you first considered what a political protest is and how it differs from acts of nature.

And how is casting votes is not an act of nature?

It's an act and occured in nature. Just like farting or getting pregnant.

Since you brought up the First Negro, his elections were the single, most racist events in the recorded US history.

He was elected and, later, immunized from criticism solely on the basis of his race. A white guy would have been impeached long time ago for what this sob did with impunity.

But than he is the first "black" president and the thugs would burn the US down to the ground, so, let's just suck it up.

Well if you're saying voting for Trump is like farting I'll concede the argument.

Those people are afraid, and if you knew that they knew, and were in their position, you would also be afraid of the rise of racism.
