Funny thread. Like it makes a difference what letter is behind the congressman/woman's name when the defense industry is involved.

Clinton-Bosnia
Kennedy/Johnson-Vietnam
Truman-Korea
Roosevelt-WW2
Wilson-WW1

WTF are you on about?

If you knew anything about U.S. History you would be asking the Democrats.

Wilson deciding it was a great idea to jump into World War One killed more Americans than all the "Republican Wars" combined several times over.

The reality is....the Republicans LOVE war and the Democrats are too spineless and afraid of their own shadow to oppose them so they go along with it.

The military industrial complex owns both R and D's. Soooo...

This thread keeps getting funnier, needs to go into the tin foil hattery section soon.

Obama loves war too. And, since the Democratic party did nothing to stop his war mongering, they must like it too.

Oh, btw; I've never seen any anti-war sentiment from the GOP so I assume they LOVE war and death so long as it benefits the corporations and war profiteers.

It's not that the GOP loves war, it's that the Kochs have a secret deal with Cheney to force modern Republicans into as much war as possible in order to drive up shares of Halliburton, while creating more instability in the Middle East that is good for the Koch's domestic oil energy businesses. Now, admittedly, there is an open question on whether or not the Kochs are really in it for their own purposes or being used as the front for a Knights Templar / Alien cabal, but that's what gets you the wars.

"All real Americans love the sting and clash of battle."--George S. Patton

"Battle is the most magnificent competition in which a human being can indulge. It brings out all that is best and it removes all that is base."--George S. Patton

They like pillaging outside resources to veil domestic problems

Patton was a warrior? This is something shocking, or new?

The Illuminati, man...the Illuminati.

The Illuminati (plural of Latin illuminatus, "enlightened") is a name given to several groups, both real and fictitious. Historically, the name refers to the Bavarian Illuminati, an Enlightenment-era secret society founded on May 1, 1776. The society's goals were to oppose superstition, obscurantism, religious influence over public life and abuses of state power. "The order of the day," they wrote in their general statutes, "is to put an end to the machinations of the purveyors of injustice, to control them without dominating them."[1] The Illuminati—along with Freemasonry and other secret societies—were outlawed through Edict, by the Bavarian ruler, Charles Theodore, with the encouragement of the Roman Catholic Church, in 1784, 1785, 1787 and 1790.[2] In the several years following, the group was vilified by conservative and religious critics who claimed that they continued underground and were responsible for the French Revolution.

In subsequent use, "Illuminati" refers to various organisations which claim or are purported to have links to the original Bavarian Illuminati or similar secret societies, though these links are unsubstantiated. They are often alleged to conspire to control world affairs, by masterminding events and planting agents in government and corporations, in order to gain political power and influence and to establish a New World Order. Central to some of the most widely known and elaborate conspiracy theories, the Illuminati have been depicted as lurking in the shadows and pulling the strings and levers of power in dozens of novels, movies, television shows, comics, video games and music videos.

Is that why so many wars have been started when a Democrat sat in the oval office? Or is your statement, as I strongly suspect, nothing but partisan, ideological drivel?

I so love the smell of bait threads in the morning......

I am basing it on my lifetime experiences, not the historical context of the nation. Since I have been alive, it has been clear to me that Republicans love the build-up to war and relish the idea of being a "War President". GWB even spoke about it before he was elected. The Democrats, on the otherhand are so afraid of being perceived as being "weak" that they play right into the hands of the neo-cons. I think the history of the last 40 years speaks clearly to this.

I think you hear what you want to hear then warp it to meet your world view.

So your basing it on your emotionalism not on any facts.

Good news you posted the right lean.

I think I'd need something to back that up. Clinton certainly had no problem getting involved in Serbia and Somalia. And Obama hasn't exactly shied away from droning the **** out of enemies, and even American citizens without a trial. He also has had no problem sending troops into Libya, Syria, back into Iraq, etc. And I hardly think Obama gives two ****s about what anybody thinks about him, as about 75% of his policies shows. So maybe your "experiences" are more accurately your biases.

Well then, in that case, I am basing it on the history since Obama. Democrats are responsible for all the wars. Why are the Democrats such war mongers?

Well...THATS conveeeeenient!

And Clinton/Bosnia? Clinton/Iraq? The 6 years of the Obama administration?

You see what you WANT to see.

Well lets see.

1) Nixon inherited the War in Vietnam.
2) Fords biggest military adventure was sending the Marines to recover that cargo ship the Cambodians had seized.
3) Reagans biggest military adventure was Grenada.
4). Bush Is big military adventure was Desert Storm which was one of the most lopsided routes in history.
5) Bush II of course had Afghanistan and Iraq.

Now, ANY president would've gone into Afghanistan after 9-11.

So, he only big war was Iraq in 2003
