has any president ever said it was not strong?
I'd like to see obama say it tomorrow i know he want but would be nice to hear most of the gop seem to find our union weak. i disagree.

I appreciate that President Obama is well known for his big lies, but why would he claim your nation isn't strong when all evidence points otherwise?

We are still strong but weaker than when Obama took office. His quest to make the world love us has in fact made the world laugh at us.

I'm no fan of Obama's and his handling of foreign policy but to say America is weak is just pandering to the whiners and trolls. America is so damn strong, it can even withstand two disastrous terms of Obama as President.

I never said we are weak, just weaker than pre Obama but I agree that we must be very strong internally to withstand his two terms.

Agreed, it was Carter's 1980 SOTU speech started out with "This last few months has not been an easy time for any of us" but did end with "Together as one people, let us work to build our strength at home, and together as one indivisible union, let us seek peace and security throughout the world. Together let us make of this time of challenge and danger a decade of national resolve and of brave achievement."

Not even the terrorists believe that one! And the more we are provoked, the stronger most people get! We just don't like being threatened, and rational people do not pander to savages to appease them. And, we really don't care if they don't like our country or its people, either! The feeling is mutual regarding the radicals among them - those cowards who kill innocent people for sport, and high-five each other while doing so, thinking they have made a point! We find that very offensive, no matter what they may hear otherwise!

Look, there is a reason Putin didn't launch an all out invasion of Ukraine.....there stood the might of the US and NATO military with more tanks than fought in WWII, enough missiles to destroy the solar system, and enough troops to even scare the **** out of a mad, he man bully Russian.

There are no Chinese or Russian oil rigs off the coast of Canada's North, not because Canadians nicely talked them out of it.

However, a hockey team can have the most powerful scoring lines in the NHL, but no one fears them if they are not played right. Obama has shown that he has no idea of what he's doing, the consequences of his actions, and narrow, domestic focus, that the mighty US military is not being played, let alone well.

The big one, and many Americans do not know the import of this, the big one was the attack on Benghazi. Not about delay in deployment, but the fact Obama did not retaliate in any way. They got away with murdering a US Ambassador amid vague assurances the FBI would bring the offenders to justice, instead of what America is supposedly doing, fighting terrorists.

That sent the most powerful message in all of Obama's foreign affairs. HE was weak, not the country. Can anyone suggest what Reagan would have done?...he who bombed Gaddafy's home and killed his son?

As I have been saying, Obama is all show and no go, and while that plays to "stupid voters", the international community sees it for what it is...

No, no one even suspects the US military is weak. The president is.

Look, Mohamar Gaddafi played nice with some terrorists thinking he was out of reach of US retaliation....and then suddenly, 'out the sky...look, it's a bird, no it's a plane...Holy **** Achmed, it's the US ****ing Air Force and their bombing Gaddafi's house!

American planes, launched from Britain destroyed Gaddafi's house and killed his kid. Ronald Reagan was responding to the death of ONE citizen...

What do you think the reaction was in Moscow? Bejing? Tehran? Saudi Arabia....?

Fast forward to the attack on Benghazi and Obama's terrorists who weren't terrorist and then were part of "terrorist acts" are wandering the Islamic world bragging about how they got away with attacking the Great Satan....


You can have all the guns in the world, but if you aren't ready to use them they are meaningless.

Obama has not been able to restore America's respect even through his "teeny attack" and now the "no boots on the ground" in Iraq.

The US should have put a division in there, instead of ****ing around with another limited engagement that is "many years" long before the first bomb was dropped to give the appearance of "awesomeness."

The world, Russia, China and all her enemies feared America under Reagan, Bush Sr., and to a lesser degree GWB. I do not sense anyone really fears her right now....unless it is a reasonable fear of attack through stupidity.
 
I predict this will be him whining and spewing the Democratic party platform in 2016 While the GOP reply will be making a logical and fact based case for the GOP come 2016.
 
so if politicians are in it for the money or the sport? we id think know Obama is not backing down he did not move the the center because there is no center. he has been asking for the same common since stuff he has always asked for. yet leave it to the gop who reply is to ask another head of state to speak before congress SMH gop your need for war grows what daily?

16 years later and after this guy saying the mission was won. We are still in Afghanistan Iraq is a mess Syria is hell on earth wake up America WTF are we doing. Not to mention our political problems with Russia Iran and north Korea WTF will Trump be lying about at his 1st state of the union next year?
 
Our state of the union is a sick sad disgrace thanks to this absolutely historical horrible President and administration.
And it's uninformed blind to the facts full of hate and rage GOP base.
