That averages out to a round of golf every 11 or so days since taking office. He must be as proud as we all are that we have such a dedicated president.

MILLER: No worries! Obama golfs 150th round as superstorm devastates Philippines, Iran deal enrages

President Obama’s approval ratings may be stuck in a sand trap, but that has not deterred him from sticking to his weekly round of golf. After teeing off on Saturday at the private course in Florida where the film “Caddy Shack” was filmed, Mr. Obama hit the milestone number of 150 golf rounds in less than five years in the White House.

The Secret Service loaded Mr. Obama’s golf clubs bag emblazoned with the presidential seal into the motorcade Saturday morning to head to the private Grande Oaks Golf Club. Sporting a blue polo shirt with tan slacks and a cap, he spent five hours on the private course with former NBA star Alonzo Mourning, friend Cyrus Walker and former U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk.

I've never met a person with such a predisposition to faux outrage than you Grim.

It was almost as if Shakespeare saw into the future, read this forum and came up with the line...

"The lady doth protest too much, methinks"

Do you not remember the thrashing that the left and the media gave president Bush for occasionally going golfing? More importantly, do you remember How Bush responded?

Well, he responded by saying that the criticism was fair, and out of respect for the troops fighting in the middle east and because of all the difficulties facing the nation, he voluntarily made the decision that he wouldn't play another round of golf as president and focus on the problems at hand... Obama came into office with a terrible economy due to the housing bubble bursting and the crash of lending markets, where we were losing jobs left and right and to this day, we still haven't recovered... Yet this didn't stop president Obama from hitting the links now did it?

If you people can dish it out, then surely you can take it... Especially when Bush did the right thing by giving up golf, and your hero refuses to make such a sacrifice.

What those of you on the left fail to understand, is this thread isn't a criticism of Obama, because I don't have a problem with him golfing...

This thread is criticismsm of YOU... Of your arrogance and your hypocrisy.

There we go again with "the left" strawman argument. LMMFAO

This will burn your butt.

So let me get this straight.

Your response to what you perceived (and what I perceived) to be idiotic.

Which is attacking a president for golfing (we all gotta do something right?)

Is to be exactly the same kind of idiotic.

I don't care what "the left" did back then or who attacked who over what.

What matters is right now and if you choose to act in the same petty way as your opponents don't expect me not to attack you for it.

You really should have quoted my next post instead of that one:

You bringing this issue up, in the fashion you did makes you JUST AS PETTY as the people you claim you're attacking.

I just can't help it... It's in my sarcastic nature to point things like this out, and no matter what you may think of me or what I post, I shall continue making threads like this because they remind me and others out there, exactly what's wrong with the political left in America today.

You all rode Bush's ass over golfing a few times, but have remained absolutely silent while Obama has gotten in 150 rounds while millions of American's have suffered financially... The difference between myself and the left is consistancy... I didn't give a damn when Bush did it, and I don't care about Obama doing it now.

My biggest gripe about Bush was he kept reading "My Pet Goat" while America was under attack.

Yes, he should have jumped up, shoved a couple kids out of the way, screamed, "We're all gonna die" while running out of the room. Of course you have no gripes about an American embassy being attacked, do you?

So I've noticed. ;)

So I've noticed. ;)

Just you wait X Factor.

When there's a Republican president and all the extremist left wingers do stuff like this or compare the President to Hitler, I'll be all over them like a fat kid on a cup cake.

But even you don't think it's a bit stupid to say...

"They're idiots for what they said, so I'm going to do the same exact thing to show what a clever boy I am".

Granted as an Aussie I didn't follow G. W. Bush's career as closely as others may have, but for the record his "now watch this drive" comment was one of the few TV moments I saw of him in which he didn't come across as either a gibbering simpleton or war-mongering liar. Folk are more relatable when they're playing sports, imho. (In a similar vein, one of the few relatable moments of our recently-elected right-wing Prime Minister was also around the early 2000s, when as Health Minister he beat up some bloke who attacked him in the street  )

Of course if a leader sends a bunch of other people off to war on dubious pretexts and then goes off to the greens...? It would be a petty, but understandable criticism. Absent that, it is merely petty.

Hey Grim... unless you can quote ONE poster here who who negatively commented on GWB's golfing, you are just throwing punches in the air.

Actually Grim, your threads point out exactly what's wrong with the political RIGHT in America today. In 4 years here at DP, you STILL haven't figured this out. I like you, Grim, but it's one reason I rarely respond to your threads. They tend to stand on their own in doing the exact opposite of what you intend.

Point out ONE poster here, posting on this thread who complained about Bush golfing. Until you do, you've got nothing.

Yea yea he said that all while on his vacation ranch in Texas over 1/3 of his time as President.. come back when you dont try to compare Obama to the laziest and most incompetent President in US history.

So you suggesting that Trump is not a dedicated president ?

:coffeepap

What makes Trumps golfing so nauseatingly hypocritical is that he always portrayed Obama as lazy for his golfing and vacations. But here is the president that golfs nonstop, is constantly on vacation, and preoccupies his time with retarded social media and brain-rotting conspiracy theories on cable news shows.

SAD!
