I just tend to ignore/avoid them, as long as they don't impose/inflict anything upon me.
I prefer they make themselves known vocally, but only locally.

Punished legally? No. The government should not have the power to imprison people for holding toxic viewpoints that do not translate into racist action or calls for racist action. Once the precedent is set that the government can charge you not for action but for opinions stated in words and writing, that opens to the doors to tyranny.

Biologically speaking, there is no such thing as "race." Making it impossible for anyone to be "racist."

The correct term for someone who is prejudiced is "bigot" not "racist." All "racist" really means is that they don't agree with leftist filth.

One's gotta wonder, how many prefaces does he have that all end in "making it impossible for anyone to be a racist". I bet at least 10. See, he just likes saying the last part. Everyone, even he, knows the first part has nothing to do with the latter. There's no logic between them. He just likes saying "making it impossible for anyone to be a racist".

You will always have social repercussions to face over your speech whether it is threatening to you because everyone else enjoys the same free speech rights that you or I do to respond to what you say or do. I'm sure that there are many people who don't like what I say and criticize me or seek to sanction me in some way by ostracizing me. I'm not very welcome in my very Catholic family because of my Humanist and pro-LGBT views. You need to decide what level of criticism are you willing to accept or tolerate for your views.

I was adamantly anti-war in 2002-03 and I was told to keep a lower profile because there were people who noticed an op-ed letter that I wrote and it angered them.

Actually my post mostly covers the fact that people were routinely getting punished for things that they neither said, nor believed in such situations.
A person on twitter states what she knows to be a fact about human biology and not only does she get her account banned due to "anti-trans" views. Something that she never stated in the first place. She also finds death threats being delivered to her personal & work email addresses. As well as her car being vandalized.
Even higher profile individual have had their cars firebombed, simply for their views, or even attempting discussion.

I support the organization, that's about it.

One has to question the intelligence of someone who continues to use a private service that intentionally censors those who do not fit their ideology. It says a great deal about the anyone still using services like Twitter and Facebook, and not in a good way.

It would have to do with the amount of saturation that those services already have in their lives. Most families/companies/social groups organize themselves with the use of Facebook to this very day.
My company has four separate discord channels for their staff to coordinate with and we have a Facebook update every two weeks.
Such reliance is not hard to understand when one sees just how closely tied these social networks are with our own existence on a day to day basis.
