Hate is hate.I hate racists, is it ok to say that?
No, the right to be racist is a human right.Should hate speech be punished when the speech contains racist content?
Follow up question for those who voted yes: At what times of day does the first amendment apply to citizens who happen to be racist?
so diversity trainers and Chicano “la raza” activists should be subject to hatred and scorn?Punished socially? Yes. People who are openly racist should be subject to the hatred, scorn and obloquy of their peers.
just like Ice Cube the black rapper was for rapping about ethnically cleansing LA of Koreans?Punished economically? Yes. I would refrain from doing business with open racists as well.
We don't have hate speech laws in the US because it is protected from arrest and being jailed or fined by the state under the First Amendment until it becomes a credible imminent threat to others. That said, you will be held accountable both socially and often professionally and you will be subject to the criticism of others for your actions. You can also suffer civil penalties for your words and actions.
We already know that about leftists.I hate racists, is it ok to say that?
Biologically speaking, there is no such thing as "race." Making it impossible for anyone to be "racist."No, the right to be racist is a human right.

Perhaps you should have gotten an education instead of attending your leftist indoctrination center. Then you would know that "race" is not included in biological taxonomy. At least you amply demonstrated your ignorance on the subject, so that is something.Very convincing.
*snicker*

You will always have social repercussions to face over your speech whether it is threatening to you because everyone else enjoys the same free speech rights that you or I do to respond to what you say or do. I'm sure that there are many people who don't like what I say and criticize me or seek to sanction me in some way by ostracizing me. I'm not very welcome in my very Catholic family because of my Humanist and pro-LGBT views. You need to decide what level of criticism are you willing to accept or tolerate for your views.Given the way things have been going. One doesn't have to conduct anything near to what "hate speech" is considered. To be punished socially.
If you didnt see people by the color of their skin or their ancestry and treat them differently because of it then we would not notice you doing it.Biologically speaking, there is no such thing as "race." Making it impossible for anyone to be "racist."
The correct term for someone who is prejudiced is "bigot" not "racist." All "racist" really means is that they don't agree with leftist filth.
leftist scum? oh grow up already, sheesh, what are you? 14?We already know that about leftists.
Racist : noun. Anyone who disagrees with a leftist freak.
Leftist scum hate everyone who disagrees with them.
Actually my post mostly covers the fact that people were routinely getting punished for things that they neither said, nor believed in such situations. You will always have social repercussions to face over your speech whether it is threatening to you because everyone else enjoys the same free speech rights that you or I do to respond to what you say or do. I was adamantly anti-war in 2002-03 and I was told to keep a lower profile because there were people who noticed an op-ed letter that I wrote and it angered them.
Are you a member of the ACLU?
Reasons to Join the ACLU
We've been defending freedom for nearly 100 years. Every day, we act on the principle that no one – including the President – is above the law. The ACLU challenges abuses of power that undermine our democracy and holds those who break the law and violate the Constitution accountable.www.aclu.org

One has to question the intelligence of someone who continues to use a private service that intentionally censors those who do not fit their ideology. It says a great deal about the anyone still using services like Twitter and Facebook, and not in a good way.Actually my post mostly covers the fact that people were routinely getting punished for things that they neither said, nor believed in such situations.
A person on twitter states what she knows to be a fact about human biology and not only does she get her account banned due to "anti-trans" views. Something that she never stated in the first place. She also finds death threats being delivered to her personal & work email addresses. As well as her car being vandalized.
Even higher profile individual have had their cars firebombed, simply for their views, or even attempting discussion.
I support the organization, that's about it.
It would have to do with the amount of saturation that those services already have in their lives. Most families/companies/social groups organize themselves with the use of Facebook to this very day.One has to question the intelligence of someone who continues to use a private service that intentionally censors those who do not fit their ideology. My company has four separate discord channels for their staff to coordinate with and we have a Facebook update every two weeks.
Such reliance is not hard to understand when one sees just how closely tied these social networks are with our own existence on a day to day basis.

Yep, then face the consequences if any. Where I used to work that would get you canned. So someone at work should just be able to use the nword willy nilly?

In certain settings like the workplace, yesSo then you agree there should be consequences for hate speech. Okay then.
Not personally no, but my phones send me updates on these newsletters. So you’re on FB *a lot*, eh?

If they invariably judge anybody they disagree with to be racist, than it's perfectly acceptable. What about harassing, haranguing, intimidating and otherwise physically accosting "racist people?"
Don't you dare disagree with the ministry of Truth. For example, all Republicans and Trump supporters as many Democrats including in Congress call for? According to what you have written, anywhere you go you should be harassed, harangued, intimidated, and otherwise physically accosted anytime you are in public.
only if they are white, and or conservative by any measure. What about people on probation for pedophilia, rape and/or other crimes of violence? Should they be harassed, harangued, intimidated and otherwise physically accosted - or is raping a child vastly less than someone who used the N-word?
Death by a thousand cuts is a cliche for a reason. The leftwing always wins, they always can shift people to the left a little more in each battle. Now if they decide you are a racist, you are worst than a pedophile rapist - and predictably Republicans dash to extremes to prove they aren't racists. Many "Conservatives Republicans" are the liberal Democrats of just a couple decades ago. The Liberal Democrats of a couple decades ago are now of the National Socialist Workers Party, which is a marriage with the super rich corporations on the world.
