What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

I've mostly just ordered crunch wraps with no meat.

It is only available at about 12 restaurants thus far...
four items including the new Black Bean Crunchwrap Supreme and new Black Bean Quesarito, 7-Layer Burrito and Bean Burrito.

I don't like TB, but love anything black bean. Might try it when available.

Quick edit, please do try

They have a shirataki rice that is so good. Sauteed with onions, garlic, kale and mushrooms, very yummy fried rice dish.

Never heard of it, but will try finding it. Hopefully it has less salt than the BK one.

I'm not a good judge of salt. I probably eat way too much of it. My food diary warns me sometimes.

I drank about a gallon of water post IB from BK.

Ok, we finally went to BK and had the impossible burger. Verdict: flame broiled and very meat like taste, could be confused with a burger that's a bit overdone. Too salty for my taste, had to drink lots of water. Must also have a lot of fiber, and I'll leave it at that.
Overall, if you want a burger taste without the meat, not bad at all.

i had another one tonight. i see what you mean about the salt a little bit. i'm just so desensitized to it, i guess. i've cut way back on salt in the past few years, but i still consume a lot of it. luckily, my cardiovascular system is still doing fine and my blood pressure is pretty good. if i ever have to go truly low salt, it's going to be tough.

Mango sushi, cold Japanese buckwheat noodles with sweet rice wine dip, vegetable tempura with steamed rice. Hot Japanese tea and chilled melon balls for dessert.

Last night

(Olive Burger)
Wagyu Burger
chopped green olives
2 slices of swiss
Brioche bun

Sweet Potato

Broc & Cheese

Home-made Beef "Donair" (I used Costco's Italian meatballs - heated up) with home-made tahini-yogurt-garlic-and lemon sauce.

The meatballs has that "donair" taste to it!

KFC
5 piece Nashville Hot Chicken strips
Cole slaw
Biscuit

So....today I've run into that problem I sometimes have, where tomorrow's dinner is ready to go, (I've got a crockpot full of fixin's for stew just waiting to go tomorrow morning) but haven't came up with anything to make tonight.

I'll have to return to the subject in a little bit...

AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!! YES! The wife with the save!

Have you tried the Taco Bell veg line up yet?

I had the Vegetarian Power Bowl yesterday. It was good and filling, couldn't finish it. A decent meal for 5 dollars and some change.

So last night and tonight it's the stew I spoke of the other day.

Toasted some dark rye to go with it.

Veggie and cheese flatbread
Baked chips and dip.

We are marinating cauliflower steaks, zucchini slices and mushrooms in a za’atar and olive oil mixture for the grill this pm. Got some Naan and will make tzatziki as a side.

That sounds good- I heat my naan bread on the pan I use to make chickpea curry with so it absorbs the drippings. I havent eaten cauliflower in a long time because its expensive out here.

Naan is our favorite bread, we even use it for tacos.

Tonight, smoked salmon and mushroom omelets with fresh ricotta. Cooked in olive oil. Cucumber and sweet onion salad with a light vinaigrette. Buttered pan biscuits, plain green tea. Fresh poached pear sherbet for dessert.

Salad sub with jalapeno chips and ketchup.

Impossible Whopper road meal.
