What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

You have Little Caesar's in the States too? It is THE pizza place for me. I am absolutely addicted to their hot-and-ready Canadian pizza. I believe it's around 9 dollars, not more than 10. So satisfying.

Now if we could only get anyone to add poutine to the menu, we'd be all set. I love the stuff, but usually make it myself

yep! the price is amazing for the amount of food you get, and the pizza is pretty high quality. i have a slice or two and freeze the rest. then i can grab a frozen slice and take it for lunch over the next couple weeks. their pizza actually reheats well in a microwave, which is sort of unique. i still prefer to to finish it in the oven at 400F when possible, though.

i like this brand, so i tried a personal pizza tonight :

it was great. also had a few baked Ruffles and chip dip.

Grapes and a Sargento Balanced breaks that had dried cherries, almonds and cheese cubes.

Have you ever tried bacon cheeseburger soup? Not bad at all. I am trying to make it vegetarian these days, so it doesn't have quite the flavor of the real thing, but it is good and fast.

Cheeseburger Soup? That sounds disgusting lol

grilled cheese
small fries that i shared with four excited dogs.

Chili Verde chili with beans over Salsa Verde seasoned Tortilla Chips, topped off with melted shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Well I myself had a hard time with the image in my mind of Cheeseburger Soup lol I pictured the buns melting in a pot of broth. That being said I do make a hamburger stew. Ground hamburger, cut potatoes, cut carrots, beef broth and sometimes throw in a can of stewed tomatoes. It's super easy to make.

You'd be surprised. Husband and I took the family to a small Chinese place that we frequented back in the day. They cooked authentic Chinese delicacies for us. Most tried just about everything, and liked it.

Surprised? If someone I know actually likes the stuff I'm pleasantly surprised, but most Americans do not eat this kind of thing:

pork intestine with longhorn pepper
sauteed beef tripe
braised beef tendon
braised pork trotters
sauteed chicken gizzards
chicken feet (more usually in dim sum places)
beef heart (sauteed; or in dumplings)

...and those sorts of dishes. Hell, most Chinese places in the states don't even put that kind of thing on the menu.

We eat trotters, ox tail stew and such things. Well, I mostly omit meat these days altogether, so there is that. Heart and tongue are actually a delicacy, if well prepared. Tripe, hello menudo. As far as intestines are concerned, we used to butcher back in the day, when I was very young, and sausages and other treats were cased in intestines, exceptionally clean, of course. I even remember them using stomach as casing. Heck, I had fish eye soup, or was it stew.

Did you really find these things here in the West? Most Chinese restaurants here have dishes that have been modified to suit the Western palate.
