    Vegetable soup with broccoli and mushrooms, black eyed peas, bits of spicy venison sausage. Steamed cauliflower with a peppery bechamel sauce. Green salad with lots of sliced onions and cucumbers, grape tomatoes, dressed with fresh squeezed lemon juice, olive oil and herbs. Fresh baked bran muffins with raisins, and Irish butter. Grilled large fresh trout fillets from the Finger Lakes caught, cleaned and flown here this morning on crushed ice, brushed with walnut oil and dusted with fresh sage. Lemonade. Navel oranges and fresh berries for dessert.

    I also picked up fresh pike from the Finger Lakes, made them into steamed fishballs with minced carrots, garlic and onion, bread crumbs. Will serve cold with fresh grated horseradish tomorrow night as the dinner's main dish.

    put the vegetarian cheese steak leftovers on bread and made a grilled Philly cheese steak sandwich. wife had the real thing, and i split the vegetarian part with the kiddo. it was her idea, and it turned out pretty well.

    Meditarrenean-style chicken drumsticks and Hot Italian sausages braised in olive oil, lots of garlic, plum tomatoes and black olives.
    I'm out of feta (or I would've crumbled some with it). I would've added prunes too, but decided at the last minute not to.
    Hubby is on strict Atkins induction mode.

    I had a couple of buttered brown bread with it, and red wine. Didn't spike my blood sugar (6.3).

    I made pizza with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms because I was able to find a 5 lb bag of bread flour.

    I had planned to grill chicken halves but its just too hot to be playing with a grill.
