What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

We're still dealing with our uninvited holiday illness, which has been identified (not COVID.) The highlight of today was making my daughter laugh and clap even though we're sick. I had a Big Mac and a Diet Coke with caffeine for dinner, and I'm kinda starting to feel like a functional person again. This morning was a bit rough. Rest and the Big Mac helped. Tomorrow will include some coffee and me getting my engine revving again. Let's hope, at least.

So I took the $50 all-you-can-eat surf and turf challenge and... it was mildly disappointing.

The lobsters were tiny, like literally baby lobsters, and there were no clams or mussels. Also the steak was cold, thin and chewy.

I got them back on the cocktails though. Downed about 10 old fashioneds, so I got my moneys worth.

Hope you didn’t drive home.😄

Nah, the mall is within walking distance to my gated community. The guards at the gate even accompanied me home.

The best thing is... I didnt get a hangover! They may not have had good food, but their liquor was top notch lol

Christmas eve here so I restrained myself with great application of won't power. A simple fresh vegetable soup dinner with a couple of pieces of buttered toast. However, tomorrow is Christmas day and I better load my calorie counter with fresh batteries. Going to be a lot of counting to do!!!!!!

R2-D2 was busy today exterminating 10 years of financial records

Dude, we must have crossed paths at the same time. I was sick as a dog for 2 1/2 days. I ate nothing. Drank water and slept 2 hours at a time while all my joints ached and I ran a low grade fever, slight cough. I made a tele-a-doc call to family on the east coast.

“My symptoms are blah, blah I feel like shit. Have you seen any of this going around?

Yes, I took the Covid test and it was negative. Yes, I had my flu shot and the RSV.”

“Yes we’ve seen that going around. If you still feel like hell in 4 days get into see your GP. You’re not going to die, you big p*ssy.“

Ahh, the comforting compassion coming from my personal family dial-a-doc. 🙄

Fortunately, tonight I’m feeling much better and had a can of curry sweet potato soup or something.

I hope y’all are out the woods as well.

It has been shit. I think that we're recovering. I hope that we can salvage Christmas somehow. I definitely haven't been myself. I hope that you continue to improve.

Christmas Eve dinner at the mall at 4pm because they close early and my housekeeper is away (I dont wanna cook at the house because Ill have to do dishes til she returns).

We had babyback ribs, deep fried onion loaf, fries and slaw.

Ive got oreo cheescake in the fridge, along with fruitcake, boozy eggnog, cold cuts and assorted cheeses all stacked away in case we get hungry later on, so I think we are all set till tomorrow.

It's Christmas day and after a couple of weeks of calorific abstinence my calorie counter is going up faster than the national debt. In a two horse race, the national debt is looking like it is running backwards (don't we all wish). I may regret this later, but Christmas is feeling pretty good so far.

Egg salad and bacon on multi grain bread. Dessert: cookies, cookies, and more cookies. Besides what my wife made, we’ve been inundated with more homemade cookies from our great neighbors.

Today's adventures in whatever the hell is wrong with me involved me throwing up into a trash can while driving at 60 MPH. Needless to say, I'm not hungry for dinner yet. Also, no, I will not be seeing any relatives until this shit is in the rear view.

I knew that vomiting was a distinct possibility when I started driving, which is why I had the lined trash can. I thought that I could make it, but I couldn't. Throwing up on the side of the highway is a great way to generate police interest especially on a night when a lot of people drink, so that was out, too. The trash can was the least worst option.

Oh no. Hope you feel better soon!

So sorry to hear that, hope you feel better soon. :(
