What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

Love an Arby's, curly fries and a diet Dr. pepper.
Pop is at his lady friend's for a few days so my husband and I made a shrimp boil, with a Corona for me, iced tea for him and a hot baguette before he went to work.

I have a friend who'll have a Wendy's Baconator (920 calories), large fries (470 calories) and diet Coke.
If I calorie budget for a fast food meal, I generally budget zero calories for the drink. I got a real coke by accident about a year ago. It was good and probably better than a Diet Coke, but it was not better enough to justify the calories.

Yesterday we had all you can eat grilled okra. We didn't need or want anything else.
Tonight we had black bean burgers with leftover sauteed onions. My husband had a bun.

Bacon, tomato, and cheese sandwich with light mayo and Pringles on the side. I miss growing my own tomatoes, but someone who my wife knows has extras. I grew a bunch of tomatoes over the years. Better Boy hybrids were probably the most reliable. I grew various heirlooms, too.

other than ice and ice cream, not a fan of freezing stuff
had previously grilled too many burgers to remain in the fridge
to avoid the freezer, chopped a couple into small chunks
boiled a pot of angel hair to cool down with oilve oil and butter, once drained
while sauteeing some diced red onion and later a can of diced san marzano tomatoes
once the onions were almost translucent, added the raos marinara sauce followed soon thereafter by the burgers and garlic
drained the pasta liquid - saving the last for the now ready sauce
success, no burgers in the freezer
still unsure whether raos is better than newman's sockarooni
ice cream sandwiches for dessert ... making even more room in the freezer

Since its a week long celebration, I decided to try my luck at a rib joint. Sadly they had no fries, so we left and I ended up eating at a hotel buffet instead.

Salads (potato apple and Cesar ), tuna sashimi, roast beef, fries, baked salmon casserole, jumbo shrimp in garlic butter, lobster tail, steamed veggies, and assorted small cakes for dessert. Free drinks too, so I had several glasses of mojitos (too sweet).
