What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

I find them a bit bland tbh but they're ok with fish and chips (fries) The vinegar spices them up.
They weren't bland for sure. I can't leave a good thing be and used lots of spices, we liked it.
We had veg chicken strips and a salad with it.

Homemade chicken alfredo with broccoli.

Yesterday was better, shrimp tacos w/pickled onion/jalapeno, cotija cheese, cilantro, avocado, and chipotle sauce.

I had been buying queso fresco for like a year and always thinking it doesn't have much flavor (like moz), and doesn't taste like the restaurant i was basing these on.
Wrong cheese dummy! (fresco is till nice, just not as good on the tacos IMO).

We sometimes do an alfredo/broccoli/pasta bake during the cooler months. Top it with either moz or chihuahua cheese at the end of the bake. Yummy.

Ordered sandwich delivery from place we haven't tried before. Half went into the trash, none of it was good. Sausage hero, meatball hero, wagyu roast beef hero and hot pastrami hero. One tasted nastier than the other, bad taste and consistency overall. We'll never buy from them again, but at least we know now how bad they are. Capriottis.

Homemade 'leaning Tower of Pisa' dagwood sandwich. - Mesquite turkey, black forest ham, pastrami, spinach lettuce, sliced tomatoes, dill pickles, diced onions, swiss cheese. Bowl of tomato soup and a fruit and nut bowl. - Key lime pie for later.

Cajun Chicken Fricassee over rice
GF Yellow Cake w/Chocolate icing for dessert (ala @Old 'N Chill )

The GF cake was awful, betty crocker I think, never try it. Their brownie and choc chip cookie GF are superb (esp brownie).
King arthur GF cake is much better (or scratch) We have 2 in the familiy with celiac, it's not by choice.

Cheesecake coming up in a week or two, inspiried by this thread, can't wait.

I looked it up. I'll bet our boy will like that when he's older. His current favorite is spaghetti with melted butter.
When I was a kid, I was a picky eater, frustrating for my mom since my siblings ate normally. I wouldn't even taste a lot of things, including spaghetti sauce. I always had mine with butter/Imperial margarine. I eat it with sauce as an adult, but even today I like to have my wide egg noodles with butter. :)

Finally got out for a fish so boiled up some fresh snapper heads for a stock. Fish stock, potato, butter, dash of white wine, small amount of tangy cheese, bacon, mussels, prawns, diced snapper fillet, leek, cream. a few herbs, and a touch of heat. The cheese, bacon, and white wine give the chowder a slight 'mornay' flavor which is great as long as you don't over do it. Removed and ate the meat from the heads as a starter. Family won't eat from the heads directly, but if I remove and serve the meat with a little tartare and a few capers stirred in they love it. A bit like a 'pulled fish' dish. Baked some fresh bread buns to have with the chowder. I eat way to much butter with them, but chowder and fresh bread is so damn nice.

Cosco. You bake them at 375F for 23 minutes. They're good, and I'm not even a huge chicken person.

The real deal is a lot better.

It does sound tasty.

I am a man of many talents. Master chef. I do it all. I catch/kill, clean, cook.

The only way to live my friend.

I am a decent amateur cook. On a typical workday, though, I usually don't have enough time in the pre-dinner time slot to make something from scratch.
